"Why are you on my territory?!", I asked showing no fear
"Your territory?", he chuckled and I rolled my eyes "you're the Alpha?"
"Yes now I'm gonna be nice and say politely", I spoke "leave my territory"
Calm down Athena, I said taking a deep breath and she only smiled
I'm gonna rip his fucking head off if he doesn't get off my territory, she growled and I shook my head. There was silence as we stood there. His wolves growled from time to time, but my wolves stayed completely quiet. He took a few steps forward so I can see his face. Tanned skin, dirty blond hair, a disgusting smirk, tall, lean body.
"Alpha Hayden", I said clenching my jaw and his smirk turned into a smile
"So you know me?"
"A murderer of many packs since last year", I replied tilting my head for a moment, his smile faded "if you wish to do the same to my pack then, you'll have a fight on your hands"
Ariel, we are out numbered! Cathy warned and I sighed. We looked at each other eye to eye. A shiver ran down my spine when his eyes met mine.
Mate! Athena growled not happy with moon goddess's choice. I was destine to be with the mass murder, Alpha Hayden. The smell of the fresh salty ocean filled my nose- my favorite smell- images covered my thoughts. Pictures of me and Hayden; laughing, kissing, cooking and ruling both packs in harmony. Unfortunately, I wasn't interested in those thoughts, neither was Athena. We wanted him gone, there was no way I'm loving him.
"We outnumber you", he announced crossing his arms, I glared at him- what is he planning? "You can fight and all of you die or we make a trade"
"Trade?"
"Yes, you for your pack's life", he suggested and I looked back at Cathy. She glared at him angrily, hatefully. I looked at Luca, in the back with the children. They were crying and Luca looked straight at me.
"Cathy", I called and she looked at me "take care of the pack, I know you'll be a great Alpha"
"What?!", she growled and grabbed my arm when I took a step forward "you can't do this. Give in that easily"
"Ariel, don't do this," my dad pleaded and I took his hand, giving it a squeeze
"Like you said, we are outnumbered and I will not get anyone killed knowing I can do something about it", I told her and looked at everyone else "YOU WILL NOT FOLLOW US OR TRY TO ATTACK HAYDEN'S PACK, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"
"YES ALPHA!", they replied as and walked towards Hayden. His beta smiled and grabbed my arm, I twisted his arm and landed him on the floor.
"I was born with legs so I can walk", I growled then let him go "don't ever touch me Beta!". He glared at me and some of the wolves growled
"Let's go Alpha", Hayden hissed, saying alpha as if it were a joke and his wolves walked off. I looked back at my pack on last time before following them. This wasn't the end, I would find my escape and get back to them. I wasn't raised to be weak or hopeless, I will fight my way back to them.
When we were about two miles away from my territory, his pack shifted back and I looked away. These idiots are too damn tall! I mean like 6'4, 6'5, and I swear one of them were like 6'8. Hayden was next to me the whole time, it annoyed me when his arm occasionally brushed against mine and sent sparks throughout my body.
Fucking mutt, Athena growled, I internally agreed.
"So what was the party about? Anything special?", his beta asked and I started to get pissed again
"My birthday", I answered through my gritting teeth "my birthday is today"
"Well this must be some gift", he replied chuckling and I swear I wanted to bash his head into a tree/ the other wolves laughed too
"Shut up!", Hayden growled and there was silence until we heard a twig snap
"Get out of here kid! Run home to your mother!", one of the wolves growled and my heart raced- it couldn't be!
"Ariel!", Luca's yell ranged in my ear and my heart dropped "let her go!"
"Luca! Dammit! I told you to stay!", I yelled pushing through the crowd, but before I could get to him something hard hit the back of my head.
