Taylor was woken by a large raindrop falling almost directly in the center of her forehead. It dripped to the tip of her nose before it tickled her and she pushed it off with her hand. She was hazy having just woke up but she was aware that they were still driving and their finders were still intertwined. She smiled before another drop came down on her head. She looked up into the sky. The stars from before had gone behind thick clouds. Another drop almost fell in her eye.

"Karlie?"

"Humm," the model said keeping her eyes on the road.

"I think it's raining," Taylor said looking up again and back to Karlie.

"Naw I don't think so," the model replied.

"Karlie..." Taylor said flatly pointing at the windshield which had beads of water on it.

"Ughhh I wanted to keep the top dowwwnnn," the model said obviously frustrated.

Taylor laughed, "where is the button to put it up?"

Karlie pointed to it, letting go of Taylor's hand.

Taylor pressed the button until they were fully covered. She placed her hand on the center consul again hoping Karlie's hand would do the same but the model kept both hands on the wheel and looked extremely disappointed.

"What's wronggg..." Taylor asked a little playfully.

Karlie sighed. "I wanted it to be perfect. I had everything planned out. It wasn't supposed to rain. Not when I got to your house and not now, this sucks."

Taylor giggle, "were you trying to be... romantic?"

Karlie blushed, "what? No!"

"Kar..."

"Fine, whatever. Yes. I was and as usual it went to shit," she finally admitted.

Taylor grinned. "It was perfect."

Karlie blushed even more and looked back and forth between the singer and the road.

"You're just saying that because I'm so bad at this stuff."
"No you're not!"

Karlie rolled her eyes.

"Actually you're pretty good..." Taylor said thinking about their candle lit night in London and their various trips to the beach, including tonight.

"I am?" Karlie said with a smirk.

"Ok don't let it get to your head," Taylor said flatly.

Karlie laughed, "still I wish we could have made it home with the top down."

"Well you know the upside of this?"

"What?" Karlie asked skeptically.

"You can hear the music better," the blonde said turning up the volume. "Hey it's Ella!" Taylor said pointing at the iPod.

Karlie nodded smiling for she had briefly forgotten how supportive Taylor was and close she was with Ella.

"That slow burn wait while it gets dark, bruising the sun.
