Sleeping At Last- I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)

Taylor dropped her bag to the floor, let the cats out, and collapsed onto the couch. They had been stuck in endless traffic today and the normally chipper Karlie cursed at various drivers for about 3 hours today. Taylor had to calm her down while trying not to get car sick at the stop and go traffic. Taylor was happy to have a little quite. She pulled a blanket on top of herself and could feel herself drifting off to sleep when her phone rang. She groaned and sleepily picked it up, not even checking who it was.

"Hello?"

"I miss you," Karlie said with sweet loving tone.

A small smile graced Taylor's lips. "Baby I just saw you."

"I know...but I still miss you," Karlie replied with a little whine in her voice.

"Babe..." Taylor said, feeling herself fall asleep.

"Can I come over?" Karlie asked softly.

Taylor sighed sleepily, "Humm, yeah ok."

"I'll be right over baby. Bye," Karlie cooed.

"Byee," Taylor replied nodding off.

It felt like she had been asleep for a second when Karlie placed a kiss to the singer's forehead.

"Hummm," Taylor hummed rubbing her eyes.

"You're so cute when you're asleep," Karlie said tucking golden locks behind the singer's ear.

"Then you should let me sleeeeep," Taylor whined.

"Would it make it better if I said I brought a present?" Karlie said with a smile, bound to grow.

Taylor returned the smile, sitting up a little, "maybe..."
"Ok...I guess....yeah I guess I'll just give it to you then," Karlie said, nervously.

She reached into her back pocket and help up a key.

"Is that..." Taylor asked her heart being fast.

"It's my spare key. I've known I wanted to give it to you for a while since we basically live at each others houses but I wanted to tell you I love you first and since I did this weekend..." Karlie trailed off, waiting for Taylor's response.

Taylor grinned and threw her arms arms around the model's neck.

"Thank you," she said kissing Karlie's cheek.

They parted and Karlie handed Taylor the key.

"I wish I had one to give you but my parents have it," Taylor said looking up at Karlie.

Karlie waved it off. "Your security lives across the hall. I can get in here whenever I want."

Taylor grinned. "True, true," she said looking down at her newly acquired key.

"I love you," Karlie said sweetly.

Taylor looked into green eyes, "I love you too."

1 WEEK LATER

Karlie propped her face up with one hand and used the other to rub her fingers though Taylor's short blonde hair as the singer hummed, completely relaxed. They were lying in bed next to one another.

"I love you," Karlie whispered.

"hum, I know," Taylor said giving a smirk, eyes still closed.

Karlie pushed the blonde's shoulder with her hand. "You're mean."
