Chapter 20: Thinking About the Future

Caleb and I walked into the reception hall hand in hand.

“Len come on you’re up next!” Teddy exclaimed grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the small stage. I stumbled on to the stage in the heels I was wearing. I walked over to the microphone and adjusted it to my height.

“Umm hi everyone.” I said, everyone stopped and looked at me as my voice projected around the room. I found Caleb in the crowd and looked him straight in the eyes.

“I’m here to make my maid of honor speech and then to sing a song, so here it goes. Wow Max you’ve grown up so much and I know you’re older than me but you’ve always been a little less mature. But I love you and I’m so proud of you big bro. you are the best. You helped me through all those tough times and there were a lot of those. You were there when I needed you. You were a brother when I needed you to be a brother. You comforted me and you teased me. And you were a father when I needed one and sometimes when I didn’t need one. You will be an amazing husband and father. I love you Maxwell. You’re the bestest brother ever. Ok, Tayah, you are so amazing. Even though my brother didn’t tell me about you until a year ago I feel like I’ve known you forever. You always help me up when I’m down. You are beautiful! You are the best sister in law I could ask for and I know you will keep my brother in line. I love you guys!” I said raising my glass.

Next I grabbed a guitar and pulled the strap over my head. I sat on the stool and adjusted the microphone. I strummed the chords of L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole. (go to youtube and search love natking cole jayme dee it should come up)

When I finished I got off stage and walked over to Max and Tayah. They both crushed me into a hug sandwich.

“Thank you so much Len” they both said.

“Anything for the newly weds.” I said as they let go. I talked to Tayah for a while until she pointed behind me.

“I think you have a friend waiting.” She said. I turned around. Caleb was standing there with his hands in his pockets. I walked over to him and pulled him to the dance floor. I put my hand on his shoulder and grabbed his hand with my free hand. He placed one hand on my waist and we swayed back and forth. I rested my head on his chest and he rested his chin on the top of my head.

“Len?”

“Hm?” I looked up at him as we kept swaying.

“What are we gonna do once we graduate?”

“Well I you’re going to Brown University. And I forgot to tell you something, I got into NYADA!” he just stared at me wide eyed.

“Len that’s amazing! I’m so happy for you!” he pulled me into a tight hug and then kissed me.

A/N: Waz up bitches?!?! Just kidding you aren't bitches. Ok well there is only about 2-3 chapters left. We have started the second TSB so it's not over yet. THank you so much you guys are the best!
