DAN POV

FINALLY. My heart was beating a mile a minute as our lips moved in sync. One of my hands held his face. My finger traced along his jawline, remembering the feeling of his skin under mine. My other hand pulled him closer to me. No matter how close we got, I still craved him. I needed to feel him closer even if that was not humanly possible.
I felt something wet hit my lips. I pulled away from Phil and looked up at him. He had tears streaming down his face. Worry flooded through my veins. Had I done something wrong?

"Phil, are you okay?" I asked with great concern.

A watery smile spread across his face. "I thought that would never happen again." He whispered back. "I missed you so much."

I took Phil's hand in mine and brought it to my chest. My heart was beating unrealistically fast and this is what I was trying to show him.

"Can you feel that?" I asked. He looked back at me, confused. "My heart. It's completely out of control. Never had it beaten so much in my entire life. Actually, that is a lie. This is how I felt the dirt time I met you. The first, and the second, and the third. Not to mention every single time I have looked at you since then. You make me feel like my heart is going to explode as my stomach falls out of my ass because it was dizzy from the back flips to had instructed it to do. In simple terms, I feel like you will be the death of me, but if I'm honest, it will be the best death anybody could ever wish for."

I noticed my voice cracking and tears falling from my own eyes. In all the time I had known Phil, this is the most honest and true to myself I had ever been. It felt amazing.

"From now on, I promise that I'll stop hiding who I am. I am not afraid of any part of myself. My sexuality is as much a part of me as my fringe. However, my fringe is out there for the whole world to see. I want people to see that I am in love with you and if that involved exposing my sexuality publicly, I don't care. I love you and want the world to know."

Phil lifted his hand to cup my cheek. "Daniel James Howell, you are an incredible human being."

I smiled as he wiped away the tears that were freely felling down my now dampened cheeks.

"I don't mind if you want to keep us a secret for a while longer. I'll respect that." He spoke softly.

I shook my head. "No. I want the world to know exactly how I feel about you. I want every person knowing that he, she or they can't have you, no matter how much they want you. You're mine and mine only."

Phil laughed at this before turning serious. "But what about your family?" He asked.

My smile faded. I breathed deeply before replying. "It's about time I bit the bullet and told them."

NARRATOR POV

And that is exactly what he did.

Six years have passed since this day. Dan stuck to his promise and as soon as they had finished promising each other the world and everything that was in the past had been forgotten, he booked a train ticket to see his parents. He bought one for his boyfriend too. Three days later, he reluctantly stepped through the front door of his childhood home, followed by Phil. They only brought a small bag each, expecting to be thrown out of the house before dinner anyway. When the boy's mother asked why he had packed so lightly, he knew it was time to tell them his secret.
Although he felt like he would vomit at any time, he told his parents that he was gay. He did vomit in the end, but it came out in the form of word vomit. His parents couldn't understand what he had said, so he had to repeat himself. Dans greatest fears were realised when his parents said that it was not allowed under their roof and that their son had to leave immediately. He walked out of the house, holding onto Phil's hand. He walked proudly, but on the inside he was breaking. He lost all contact with his family for three years, before they finally came to their senses in the end.

On the 24th of September 2016, Dan and Phil broadcasted live on YouNow together, on Dan's account. Their viewers clicked on the link, not expecting much to be different to whenever they broadcasted together. However, the broadcast ended quite spectacular with Dan pulling Phil into a kiss live on camera and saying "Phan is real." before promptly logging off, both men in a fit of giggles, knowing that they were tormenting every single person who shipped them. The next day, the Amazingphil channel had a new video uploaded, explaining the whole ordeal. Due to the craziness of the phandom, the video went viral and of course, the Fine Brothers made a video a week later called "Youtubers React to Phan." This was an episode to be remembered. Many of their YouTuber friends were left in tears, proud of the two men. Others simply congratulated them.

You may be wondering what happened to Chris and Pj.  Their relationship is still going strong to this day. They have been married for a year now and are awaiting the arrival of their first child. Chris is sure it will be a boy, but Pj doesn't think he's right.

Dan and Phil's relationship has been going strong for six years now, but this is not where our story ends it is merely where a chapter ends. They are just about to start a far more important chapter.

A/N: What even is this.... It's supposed to be all cute and stuff but it makes little sense really.
