DAN POV

July 14th, 2022

I couldn't take it. I couldn't just stay in the room they had put me in, knowing that Phil was in the room right next to mine, putting on his suit. I know they say that it is bad look for the bride to see the groom before the wedding, but I didn't care. First off, there was no bride, but two grooms. Second, it was just stupid superstition. It doesn't actually mean anything.
I may not have believed it, but I was in the room with Louise Pentland. She was highly superstitious and wasn't taking any chances in this one. Louise, along with Zoe Deyes (formerly Zoe Sugg), Bryony Matthewman and Catherine Valdes were all sitting around the large room wearing matching bridesmaids dresses. My mother was also there. She had tears in her eyes as my father helped my brother to tie the now somewhat crumpled tie that hung around his neck. She looked at me in awe as I fixed my hair in the mirror and kept on talking about how proud she was of her little boy she was. I laughed it off saying that I wasn't exactly little now considering I was six foot, three inches. This resulted in her slapping me lightly on the arm and pulling me into a tearful hug.

I looked around the room. My bridesmaids had never looked more stunning in my eyes. Their dresses were full length. Louise and Bryony were wearing dresses that were held up by a strap on one shoulder. The strap looked like loads of little flowers trailing over their left shoulders. The dresses were quite tight at the top, but then flowed out until they hit the ground. Zoe and Cat were wearing dresses that unlike those of The other half of the bridesmaids, had no straps at all. Other than that fact, the dresses were pretty much similar. All four girls had their hair up in some form of a bun (I'm not good with fashion), and had a curl coming down on either side of their faces. They looked stunning.
My three piece suit was black, of course. I had a white shirt underneath my suit jacket, and a grey tie. There was a matching grey handkerchief in the pocket. I felt like it matched my monochrome style quite well.
Nobody was going to tell me what Phil was wearing, but I assumed it was quite similar. I was going crazy waiting to see him.

PHIL POV

"Is it really hot in here or is it just me?!" I asked, fanning myself. I felt like I was going to either faint or vomit. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"You're just nervous, love." came the voice of my mother. "It happens to us all."

I knew that she was right, but I couldn't help but worry. Dan and I had been planning this particular day for at least ten months now and I just wanted everything to be perfect. I wondered if Dan was as nervous as I was, but to be honest, he probably wasn't. He seemed pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

"Do I look okay?" I asked my mother.

"Philip honey, you have never looked so handsome in your whole life." she spoke quietly before taking me by the hand and pulling me over to the full-length mirror that resided in our changing room. Chris and Pj were already standing in the mirror, but she ushered them out of the way as I giggled.

"Just look at yourself." she whispered.

My eyes looked the reflection in the mirror up and down. I was wearing a grey suit that I was told matched Dan's, that had a white shirt underneath. I had a black handkerchief in my pocket that was the same colour as my tie. I heard sniffling behind me. I turned to see my mother struggling to keep the tears from falling from her eyes. I took her hand in mine and squeezed it, letting her know that it was going to be okay.

"I told you she'd cry." came the voice of my brother, Martyn from behind us. It was followed by my father laughing. I turned to see my father and brother standing with my grandmother. They all wore smiles on their faces, and I thought my grandmother was going to explode with the excitement.
"It's time to go, son." My father said. My mother gave me one last hug before following the rest of my family out to the room in which we were going to get married. I looked around for Chris and Pj, and found them once again checking their hair in the mirror. I walked over to them.
