A/N: if you don't remember this character (which you probably don't) then resort back to the chapter "The Fear Of Falling Apart". She's a woman who Philip meets when we walks out coz he's done with Dan's shizzzzzzzzz.

AMY POV

There were many things I loved about old-age, one of which was the lack of responsibilities. Because of this, I spend almost all day every day on my favourite park bench, just watching the world go by around me. I see people walk past every day. Some notice me and smile, wave or say hello, but others don't even notice I'm there. They're too busy wrapped up in their own problems or are in a hurry to some place or another.

They say that as you grow older, your memory deteriorates. That's not always true. I am seventy-odd years old, and I never forget a face, no matter his many pass me by on any given day. Today, this skill was useful.

The day was like every other. I woke up, had breakfast, grabbed my coat and walked to my bench. I watched as the world moved around me. Businessmen and women were walking by in work attire, some were running, probably to avoid being late or missing whatever form of public transport they would be taking.  Some people were out jogging, others were walking their dogs.
The date was the first of September, so children were being walked to their first day of school by parents who either looked completely stressed out or too tired to care what was happening around them. However, one thing I saw, completely brightened my day.

Two men were walking side by side though the park. One of the men had a child on his shoulders. I'm surprised she didn't have a nosebleed from being up so high, considering the man was extremely tall. The three were laughing as they walked along, and seemed to be really happy. I watched them walk along, and smiled. I didn't think there was anything extraordinary about the family until the other man looked over at me. I instantly recognised the blue eyes that looked at me, but I couldn't quite remember where I had seen him before. The black haired man told his family to walk on without him for a second, and he changed his direction to walk towards me.

"Hi." He smiled when he had reached my bench. 'Do you mind if I sit here for a minute?"

I smiled back at him and told him that he could.

"I'm not sure if you remember me, but I good few years ago we met here on this bench." He spoke. "I was upset because of a fight I had been having with my flatmate, and was considering moving out. You told me to go back to him and forgive him for what had happened and I took your advice."

I smiled as I remembered what he was talking about. "Of course I remember you." I chuckled. "I never forget a face. Although I always wondered if you had sorted everything out."

He laughed. "Well you see that man over there with the brown hair holding the little girl with the blond hair?"

I  nodded.

"That's the man who I had fought with. Thanks to you, I went back and forgave him for what he had done. We ended up getting into a relationship, then breaking up for a while before getting back together. Dan and I have been married for three years, and adopted our little girl two years ago. Olivia's five now and she's starting school today."

A smile spread across my face. I don't think I could have been happier in that moment.
"I guess it all worked out then." I chuckled.

"I suppose you could say that."

"Phil, hurry up or we'll be late!" The other man shouted from the distance.

"I'm sorry but I should really be going. We can't have her being late on her first day. Thank you for giving me that piece of advice all those years ago. I don't know what would have happened if it wasn't for you."

"It was my pleasure." I smiled before Phil said goodbye, stood up and walked over to his husband.

I watched as Phil took Dan's hand in his. He carried Olivia's school bag in the other hand, and the girl remained seated on Dan's shoulders, being held up by his other hand. I smiled as they walked along together. They really were a picture perfect family who I hoped would be together for years to come.

THE END.

A/N: Wow. So that's what it feels like to actually end a story.... Huh...

I want to say a quick thank you to everyone who stuck with this story to the end. I know it mustn't have been easy with me forgetting to update for a month and whatnot *cough*. I'm surprised I made it to the end TBH. I know it wasn't as long or as well written as other stories but I couldn't care less because I actually did something mildly productive for once (wooh) and I'm proud.

I want to thank toasty_pandaa being so nice to me throughout all of this and basically being my reason to finish this <3

Well, that's all so for one final time,
*bows, throws confetti and leaps gracefully out of the room*

Goodbye <3
