I have an interview at Capitol Records today. I called them the day before yesterday and they set me up to meet someone. Ashley is doing amazing. The baby's heartbeat is steady and it's growing like he or she should. She's twelve weeks now so we should be able to tell the sex in three weeks, and she'll have a little bump by then too.

"Ready to go?" Luke and Calum ask me.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I sigh. I was nervous. The whole singing thing wasn't what I wanted to do, but all I needed to do was get over my tiny case of stage fright and I'd be fine.

I walk in between Calum and Luke as we make our way up to the Capitol Record's steps.

"Hey we're here for an interview for Sydney DiAnn at two o'clock." Luke tells the lady at the desk. She typed something in her computer and sets a stack of papers on the counter top for me to take.

I write down 'big crowds, but am willing to deal' as my fear. I put 'DJing and songwriting' as my strengths and 'hate' as my weakness.

"Sydney?" A nice looking lady asks when she pops out of a door.

"Go get em kid!" Calum whispers.

"Good luck babe."

"Hello. I'm Terrance and I'll be asking you a few questions today..." He says as he flips through a few papers that were on his lap.

"I'm Sydney, but you can call me Syd, everyone else does."

"So first off, why are you interested in music?" Terrance asks.

"Well I've loved, lived, and breathed music since I was ten. I always wanted to be a Disc Jockey, so I moved here to live that dream. I recently sang at a concert with a band and here I am."

"Wow, that's interesting. What band did you sing with?"

"Five Seconds Of Summer."

"We signed them not to long ago. And you can see how far they've gone since we have."

"Yes sir I do, which is why I'm very interested in this particular offer."

"Well you seem like our type of person. Spunky. I'm going to take you to the recording studio to see how you sound. Okay?"

"Sounds good." I say as he stands and walks me to the recording booth.

"Okay so put on those headphones, adjust the mic to your liking and start when I say so, okay?" I give him a thumbs up.

"And you can sing whatever you'd like since this is just a raw recording. Okay ready?" I give him another thumbs up. He points at me, signaling for me to start.

"I wish that I could wake up with amnesia

And forget about the stupid little things

And the way it felt to fall asleep next to you

And the memories I never can escape

Cuz I'm really not fine at all."

"That." he says, flicking a switch and opening the door to the booth "Was amazing. Your voice is so edgy, but it's so smooth that it reels you in. Have you ever taken lessons?"

"Nope. Never."

"Wow. Well, I think you have a pretty good shot at this kid. I'm glad you came to us. Hopefully I'll see you again."

And that was it, I walked back into the lobby and met up with Luke and Calum who were talking to some guy in a suit.

"Hey how did it go?"
