Since Terrance is in jail and Jason quit, the guys got a new manager, John. He acts like more than a manager though. He writes with them, goes to the studio to record with them, and just goofs around with them. But that's not even the best part.Since I was also out a manager, he took me in as well. He writes and records with me as well. I've got three of my own songs recorded and I've writen two for the guys. Now for the big news:
Luke and I are getting married tomorrow.
I've tried on my dress maybe ten times. I've checked on the church, the food and every other possible thing to worry about all day long.
"Sydney put down that damn phone and come sit with me!" Luke whines from the livingroom.
"But I need to ch-" I yell.
"No! Come and sit in here!"
"Fine!" I stomp into the livingroom and plop down next to Luke.
"How is your face today?"
"Flawless as usual. How about you?" I joke "Wait just kidding. It's hot too."
"You know it." he laughs, kissing me. "But your owie. Hows it doing?" he coos, tapping my bandage.
"Better. It doesn't throb anymore and I only woke up once last night so that's good."
"I noticed."
"Sorry if I woke you."
There was a moment of silence while Luke massaged my hand. It didn't last long because the phone started to ring.
I get up, not very pleased at whoever made me get up from my comfortable state, and pick up my phone. The caller was unknown so, like I always do, I answer in a british accent.
"Ello?" I say, as serious as I can. Luke dies laughing in the backround.
"Uh..Sydney? I know it's you."
My smile instantly fades as I recognize the number, and the voice on the other end. Luke must have seen my face fall because he stopped laughing.
"What?" I say in as harsh a voice I can. "What could you possibly need?"
"Sydney. I hear you're getting married."
"Yes I am. Is that all?"
"Well I'm sorry if I wanted to see my own daughter walk down the aisle." My mother cries.
"Well-"
"Do you not want your own father to walk you down the aisle? Do you not want our blessing?"
"You wouldn't support it anyway! And I thought you said-"
"I know what I said. I just didn't think you would make it this far."
I scoff into the phone. Of course she didn't! She has had no faith in me since the day I decided I wanted to become a DJ.
"And how would you know we wouldn't approve?"
"Because you wont."
"Tell me about the kid. Put him on the phone. Or pull up that face-skype thingy."
"You really want to put the effort into meeting him? A day before the wedding?"
"Yes Sydney." I hear my father say in the backround "Put the kid on FaceTime so I can see who is taking my daughter."
"Fine. You better answer when I call." and I hang up.
"Lukers..."
"Yeah..."
