Chapter Eight

Ariel's POV

I have no clue what's going on with me lately. First, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with Harry. Next, I wanted him to prove to me that he was sorry and wouldn't hurt me again. And now, I run out on him when he trys to fix this. I'm guessing I just didn't want to hear the truth, but I wanted to know at the same time. I confuse my own self.

DING!! Finally, my popcorn's ready. I'm about to just sit here, watch Sweet Home Alabama, and sulk in my own pity. I have no one else to sulk to. I'm not sure if I want Harry back. After bringing up our past and talking about what put us in this situation in the first place, was very overwhelming. Yes, that was the past, but the past can be reliven.

He's probably off back to London by now, so there's nothing I can do about it now. So I'm just going to be alone on Valentine's Day this year. Well, it's not like I had someone last year.

----------------

Three Hours Later

I glanced down at my phone and of course no new messages. The bright white phone clock read 11:11.

"I wish everything would fall into place. No beating around the bush, or commplications, but just be right."

I fell into a deep sleep minutes after making my wish.

Harry's POV

It's two days until Valentine's Day. I have a plan that will hopefully make Ariel really see that I'm trying to prove to her I really am changed.

After I logged off Twitter, I glanced at the clock, 11:11. "Make a wish Harry," I told myself.

"I wish for my plan to work, and for Ariel to be happy."

I let out a long yawn, and before I knew it, I was asleep in no time.

----------------------

"Harry...." I faintly heard. "Harry!"

"What?!!! Huh??!!" I said very surprised while falling off the bed. Ryn had his head poked in through my door.

"Morning mate, didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to see if you wanted to have lunch with Tom and I?" He asked politely.

"Sure thing, give me 10 minutes." I replied while getting up off the floor to go get ready.

I wonder if Ariel's at work today? I might have to put in a suggestion for lunch today for a certain restaurant.

I walked into the living room with Tom and Ryn sitting on the couch watching some tv show.

"Ready?" They asked me in unison.

"Sure thing. Hey, let's go back to the restaurant we went to on our first night in town!"

"Yeah, Their food was awesome!"

I'm praying she's at work today. Just to see her face, which I know will probably be sad, but I hope to fix this.

Ariel's POV

I was getting ready to leave for working when a loud boom stopped me in my tracks, thunder. Of course it would start raining on my way to work. I went to my coat closet and grabbed my rain jacket off the hanger. I also got my clear umbrella so my hair wouldn't get wet.

Maybe work won't be busy tonight, because I"m not really in the mood to carry a tune for 100 people this afternoon and tonight. I feel drained ever since last week. I don't have the spark to do anything anymore. Well....gotta make a living somehow right?

As I walked in the dining room before walking to the break room, I heard an oh so familiar voice.

"Who is she?" I heard someone say, it sounded like a guy.

"We were together a year ago, until I fucked everything up." The familiar voice spoke.

"What happened?" Another guy asked with all seriousness.

"I cheated on her, on the worst possible day ever."

What day was it?"

"It was Valentine's Day." He said with sadness raking through his voice. I suddenly realized who it was. But I didn't know the other two people. Maybe his friends? I sat at the bar and acted like I was reading a menu.

"She's amazing. And I just want her to realize that I will do anything to fix what I've done." Harry said. I didn't realize I had tears rolling down my face until Bryson came up to me....

Harry's POV

"Are you okay, Ariel?" I heard a familiar voice say.

I turned around and saw Bryson comforting Ariel, she had tears in her eyes and her eyes were blood shot. She looked up and immedately her eyes met my green ones. Before I knew what I was doing, I got up and started walking to her. Surpisingly, she didn't move, she stayed frozen on the bar stool.

"Hey, Bryson could you give us a minute?"

"Sure thing.." He said hesitantly looking at Ariel.

For a minute I just looked at her, and admired how beautiful she was, until I saw a tear..

"Ariel, what's wrong?"

She didn't reply. She just looked straight forward. I followed her gaze and it led to the pianos. Bryson never took the second one out. I knew actually what she wanted to do, the only thing she would do when she was upset, and that was to play.

I grabbed her hand entwining our fingers, and brought her up the little staircase to the piano. She sat on the stool, set her hands. She played, like I've never heard her play before. In that moment, she looked at me, and had tears still in her eyes but the looked like tears of joy. She had a little smile on her face that I love to see. And I want to keep it there.

When she was finished, she stood up, looked at me dead in the eyes, and smiled. After gazing in her eyes, I was caught off guard by her kissing me lightly on the cheek, which put a smile across my face.

And with that simple kiss, it gave me hope that my plan would work tomorrow.
