Chapter Twenty Two
Ariel's POV
The color red was dominant in my eyesight. People walking down the street were giving me frightening stares, and I wouldn't blame them. I felt nothing but rage surge through my body. My hands grew numb at the fact my nails were to the point of drawing blood in my palms.
After the dressing room incident, I realized something, and that is that I would do anything to keep what's mine to myself. That night I promised myself I would do anything to keep the person I loved.
After I read the signature, something inside me snapped. The fact that she came into my home, the place that me and Harry share together, destroyed our memories we've made there, because now when we come home, all we'll be able to think about is what she done. This situation may have got to me, but it won't break me, and if she thinks other wise, she's got another thing coming.
I finally reached the studio, but I didn't go through the front door. I peeked inside the window while I was walking by, and there she was, sitting at her desk. I went around back, going through the door. I weaved through the halls, coming across Mr. Stephen's recptionist.
I put on my best amater smile. "Excuse me, is Mr. Mitchell in?" I asked.
"No, he's attending a meeting right now, would you like me to tell him a message for you?" She asked politely.
"No, that's okay. I'll catch him tomorrow. " I responded.
"Alright, well if you don't need anything else, I'm about to go home. Long day." She sighed while smiling.
"That's all, thank you for your help." I smiled while turning around walking down the hall. I knew she had a car, so she parked in the back.
I made my way to the front, Lillie finally coming into view. She was alone, sitting at her desk filling out paper work. I found the electric box on the wall, flipping it to off, making it grow dark in the room. There was a little bit of light coming from the sun outside, but not much, due to the tent on the windows.
She frantically looked around, before getting up and walking this way. I dashed down the other hallway that led me to her desk. I sat down in her swivel chair waiting for her to come back. I heard the tap of her heels on the titled floor, my eyes growing darker with hate.
She rounded the corner, and her eyes were wide for a second, but a wicked smirk replaced her expression.
"Oh, hello Ariel, didn't expect to see you here." She said in a sarcastic tone, giving me the urge to hit her.
I rose from her chair, slowly walking towards her, my eyes growing darker. She stood still, confused by my silence. "Can I help you?" She asked, trying to get some sort of reaction from me.
I stopped in my tracks when she said this, trying to come up with the best answer I could. I resumed walking forward, and when I was about a foot away from her, I spoke.
"You came into my home," I said in a voice with not an ounce of emotion, "Destroyed it." I added.
Before I could contine, I noticed a tiny blinking red light in the darkness. I came here with a plan, but now I have two.
"Did you like the renovations?" She asked innocently. I backed her into the hallway, checking for another camera. Luckily there wasn't.
I didn't reply to her, and my body took over my mind. My mind started racing, suddenly flashbacks of my father at my little league games, chearing for me even though we lost the game. I saw my mother, her placing my hands on the beautiful ivory keys of her piano. Placing her hands over mine, she pressed down on my fingers, showing me a lovely tune. Soon those thoughts were replaced with the tragedies in my life. My father packing up his luggage in his car, leaving us. Going to his grave for the first time after the news. Sitting in a chair by my mother's side while she lay lifeless in her hospital bed.
