School.

I feel like that's one of the most dreaded word among society today. It's the place that no one looks forward to (unless you have someone in mind you want to see). It's also one of the biggest obstacles before I get to start my life off the path I want. I don't have a long ways to go, just a few weeks until graduation. Today I have to attend this hell- I'm mean educational institution. I have thirty minutes to pocket before I actually have to leave and I'm already dressed.
I decide to call my brother Noah. I know it's rather early and he's probably asleep right now but I had to talk to him. I haven't seen him for three months and haven't talked to him since last week. Until he comes for my graduation this is my only resource.

Ring. Ring. Ring-

"Evie Beavie this better be important if your interrupting my sleep." I roll my eyes, only focusing on the dreadful nickname.

Evie Beavie

I got it when I was twelve. I had what you say 'buck teeth' and and braces so I wasn't completely on the 'hot' list at that time. It wasn't like I was getting bullied about it or anything it was just there, but it did however give my brother the big idea of calling me Evie Beavie. I mean my teeth didn't even look like a beavers.

"I just have some time to spare before school starts and I wanted to give my favorite brother a call." I explain.

Grabbing my sweater I slip it on and make my way over towards the bathroom before fixing my hair into a ponytail.

"Huh. Well I'm glad you called I was meaning to call you anyway." He yawns through the phone.

I smile looking at my clear nails.

Gosh, I need a manicure.

"Missing your favorite sister?" I joke as I hold the phone between my shoulder and ear.

"I've heard rumors."

My heart beat stops and after a few seconds it's starting to beep rapidly.

"What rumors?" My throat runs dry and I sound cowardly as I ask the obvious question.

Please don't say Alex Dalloway. Please don't say. Please please plea-

"I was told you've been seen around Alex Dalloway recently this weekend."

"Alex Dalloway?" I gasp for effect. "Why would you believe any rumor that would even portray that kind of situation?"

Oh my I hope this works in my favor.

"I didn't so much at first, but after I saw the tabloid when I was on my way back to dorm from my run early this morning I thought 'wow, who knew my little sister and the devil himself."

My body runs cold as I take the phone between my fingers looking frantically around. Grabbing my bag and run down the stairs through the foyer.

Why does word travel so fast?

"It's a long story and I'll explain everything later when I get this mess cleared. Okay?"
