Noah, Evie's older brother in the media.

I don't even know why I'm here.
Tears constantly stream down my face as I try to wipe them away to make myself presentable. I walk into the lobby spotting the doorman and walk towards him.
"Is Mr. Dalloway in?" I sniffle.
Evie pull yourself together.
"He just got in but I'm sure he's tired." He was right it was 1:00 o'clock in the morning and Alex is tired there's no doubt about it.
I have no where else to go, no one else to go to help for.
"Please. Just tell its Evangeline Sharp."
He nods and moves behind his desk to reach the phone to call Alex. My palms are starting to sweat nervously and I really need a cigarette.
"Mr. Dalloway says to let you up."
I nod acknowledging him and make my way to the awaiting elevator before it closes leading me to his apartment.
Tears still soak my face and I try to clear my face of it once more. I know my eyes are probably puffy but it's the best I can do this late at night or specifically early in the morning.
"Do want some coffee or water?" Alex stands in the hall as I walk through the door. He's obviously taken notice of my current state and seems as though he doesn't know how to react. I watch as his hands slightly fidget with each other.
I shake my head taking deep breathes trying to calm myself down.
"No. No-I ..I'm not really here for comfort."
Alex crosses his arms and looks incredulously at me.
He's dressed in grey sweatpants and a dark navy shirt that slightly clings to his chest. His hair is in its naturally curling state and as he waits for me to speak once more he walks over to the kitchen counter where a packet of cigarettes lie. I follow his figure to a near by window where he lights it and starts smoking.
"I need your help."
This seems took catch his interest and take the cigarette from his lips blowing out smoke.
"What's happened?" He seems worried but continues to smoke waiting for my answer.
"It's my brother."
He stops smoking blowing out out the remains smoke but let's the cigarette linger in his mouth. He's not looking my way anymore but out the window.
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
"He's been arrested and my-my dad won't bail him out-and he won't let me either or else....."I stop my sentence not wanting to continue and look frantically Alex's way but he's still looking out the window. I watch as he takes short breathes before continuing to smoke.
I sigh understanding that he won't help me. I was stupid to come here but o didn't know who else to tell. I wanted to keep this a secret.
Turning my back on him I start towards the front door when he finally speaks.
"Where?"
I don't answer right away due to me trying to comprehend the situation. I tell him the jail and it's upstate New York but it's not news because that's where he goes to school.
"Stay here I'm going to go get your brother." He demands as I he puts on a jacket and grabbing his phone and keys.
"Wait, what? No, I refuse. I'm not going to just sitting here while my brothers locked up." I say walking after him.
