A hint of Alex's plans for Evie in the media up top (or on the side).
*************It's around 9:00 o'clock at night and the car stops in front of which I'm guessing is Alex's loft. We spent the remainder of the day at the arcade-so Alex can try to beat me at the dance game- and at the park because it would be a waste not to be outside on a beautiful day like it was only a few hours ago before the sun decided to set.
Why are we at his house?
"Don't worry I didn't bring you hear to steal your virtue or anything." It's like he read my mind or my scared face that I was trying to hold back.
Letting a sigh of relief I smile but don't reply to what he says and wait before the driver opens the door for Alex so I can follow behind.
We make ourselves inside to where the long is and it doesn't take long until we're in the elevator. It's quiet, too quiet so I look at my fidgety palms in comfort but it doesn't work it just makes it worse. The bell rings for the elevator door to open and there's only one door on the entire floor. Figures. He probably bought the entire floor.
Anxiety fills me as he turns the key in the door and I'm scared he's going to show me Fifty Shades of Grey crap.
If he does I'm heading straight for the stairs. It's faster.
That's not what came, what came was so much more unexpected.
"Your having a party?"
I turn to look at a grinning Alex as he looks at the party proudly.
"Thought I should considering I just came back to town." Even though I've never been to one I've heard around that any Alex Dalloway party is a party not to miss.
"I'm impressed." My words cause Alex to turn my way and I didn't think his smile could get any wider but it does.
"Good, cause this party was mostly to impress you."
"Was it?" I place my hand over my chest dramatically as I gasp and shakes his head laughing.
"Shut up and come on."
What I saw before wasn't a party it was more of night club. Lights illuminated through the room but unlike a night club the air wasn't stuffy it wasn't completely great bad it wasn't irritating.
"I'll be right back I have to talk with someone real quick but the bars over there I'll meet you over there when I'm done." Alex me standing in the middle of the dance floor alone so I do as he suggested and make my way towards the bar that only a few people are at right now.
I wonder why it's so empty.
"Can I get a vodka on the rocks but with a lot of rocks and a little vodka?" The bartender nods before turning to make it for me.
"Vodka? Trying to drink the tonight away?" I turn around to see who holds the thick English accent and my eyes meet with deep sea blue eyes.
The stranger smiles at me showing his pearly whites before running a hand through his messy hair. He looks like sex on legs and I'm at a lost for words as I admire his hotness.
"Chace. Chace Bennet." He extends his hand to mine and I gladly shake it.
"Evie. Sharp. Evie Sharp." I try my best not to stumble upon words buts it's harder than I thought.
