Keys of Disaster

*-Chapter 9-*

"Can you take me again later to get Jason?" I ask after I entangled myself from him. "Sure" he says. When we got home, we found Ava and Johnnie in the kitchen. "Hi?" I ask a little unsure to what is going on.

"HELLO!!" Ava almost screams in her little voice. Her face is filled with frenzy but when she didn't see Jason, her face dropped. "Don't worry, he's ganna be fine" I assure her, "They are ganna keep him there for a few more hours, just to make sure" I say. She sighs a sigh of relief. "Uhm, Ava this is my best friend Michael, Michael this is my cousin Ava" I introduced them. "I see you've already met Johnnie" I say in a tired tone, not intending for it to sound bitter but failed. "Haha yes" she chuckles. "We made cupcakes!" she says and threw her arms up in the air. I saw Mickey checking Johnnie out. He doesn't say a word.

"That's great" I say to break the silence. "Wanna taste?" Ava asks. "I think I'm ganna lay down a bit" I say and went upstairs, leaving Mikey, Johnnie and Ava behind. Ava's wounds are looking better. I should just treat it again later. "Okay, I'm ganna start cleaning up" she says. Why is Johnnie here, though? Maybe Page told him what happened. All I know is I really need a nap right now. I almost immediately fell asleep.

I woke up a few hours later with over 5 missed calls from an unknown number. "Jason!" I say aloud. I grabbed my shoes and ran downstairs. "Ava, I have to go get..." my words faded away when I saw Jason, Mikey and Johnnie on the coach, laughing. "Oh hey Lex!" Mikey says when he noticed that I entered the room. "You got Jason?" I ask, not expecting this. "You looked so cozy, I didn't want to wake you" he says with a smile. "Hey sis" Jason says chilled. Isn't he in pain? I took a seat next to Johnnie who seems to be enjoying himself. "What's going on?" I asked a little suspicious. "Nothing, really" Johnnie says. This was odd, neither my brother nor Michael likes Johnnie. "I'm glad to see you guys are getting along" I say, They nod "Where's Ava?" I ask. "I think she is cleaning and treating her wounds again, she wouldn't let me help" Mikey says. I walked to the bathroom to find Ava cleaning up liquid (medication) from the floor. She looks up, "Sorry" she says in a small voice. I helped her onto the bath edge where I treated her wounds and gave her a pill for the pain. We cleaned the bathroom together.

This week went by slow. I like this part of the year when the leaves starts to lose their color and the beaming summer is saying its goodbyes. Page sits with us again at lunch since the choir ended and Ava made a new friend, Ashton. Johnnie introduced them and they immediately had a connection. Ashton had dark brown curly hair with a blond highlight, a lip ring on the left side of his face and a birth mark between his eyes. He was the guy Johnnie associated himself with at school. Johnnie also had one other friend, Jaiden, who was Ashton's twin brother. He had sharper features and looked a lot like Ashton. He had straight dark hair and a piercing by his eye. I can see myself being friends with them.

Today is the last month of school before the winter holidays. I was sitting at the lunch table waiting for Michael and Page when Johnnie took a seat next to me. "Hey" he says. "Hey" I smile back. "Listen, if you're doing anything Friday night, I thought we could maybe go out" he asks in a shy voice. "Like a date?" I ask shamelessly. I couldn't help but smile. "Yes, like a date" he says. I took a minute to think about is, just to tease him. I sat there with a massive grin on my face, "Yeah sure" I finally answer.

"Really?" he looked surprised. "Yeah, what time are you picking me up?" I ask. "Seven?" he asks. "Great!" I say, "See you then" he stood up and left, mumbling a "yes" thinking that I'm out of earshot. I felt bubbles in my stomach and a let out a little laugh. I was going on an actual date with Johnnie! Then fear stroked me, WHAT AM I GANNA WEAR!??

Page took a seat across from me. "I need you to dress me Friday night!" I blurted out. "What?" she asks confused. "I'm going on a date with Johnnie Friday night and I want to look nice" I say, blushing a little. "WHAT, THAT'S GREAT!" she exclaims.

"What's so great?" Mikey wanted to know when he took his seat next to me. "Alex is going on a date with Johnnie friday night" Page says, smirking. "That's cool" Michael said, trying to look happy. "What do you have in mind" Page asks ignoring Michael. "I don't know, that's why I need your help" I say, reminding her.

I look over to where Ava and Ashton are talking or should I say flirting. She is playing with her hair and he scratches his neck every now and then. It's cute. They're actually the perfect couple. The adorable, short chick with the sweet, loving guy. I couldn't help but smile.
