Chapter 18: Blood Is Thicker

A/N:
Sorry for the late update, I'm literally on a bus with my soccer team all the way in New York. So bare with my spelling mistakes lol I'm on the bus for ten hours straight till I get back home

____

THERE, LYING ON THE
floor was Leo, he was completely naked but that's not what shocked me. There was blood everywhere. I could take my eyes off it. As Leo winced again, I gasped, which caused him to look up at me with pain.

"Kiara, " he said in a raspy weak voice, "help me." I was frozen in spot. I could  think of anything to say, I couldn't even move.

Holy crap.

"Oh my god! Holy crap, Leo!" I screamed, echoing my thoughts. I was still shaken from the sight before me. It wasn't until I heard the doors open that broke me out of my trance and made me react.

"Look I doubt that-- Oh god, shit!" Thorne's voice changed as he notice the scene before him. I also heard a gasp come from Cecil. "Help, please." I almost yelled, but my voice came out raspy and dry.

Cecil and Thorne both exchanged a look at each other before they rushed around Leo. Cecil looked like he was going to be sick, while Thorne just looked nervous and scared. Why was he scared? I just looked at Leo, who was winding on pain, but I couldn't find the injury there was literally blood everywhere. I couldn't really care about the blood on my hands, and I could tell neither did the boys-- we just needed to find a source of the blood.

"There!" Thorne shouted as he point to a spot just under Leo's muscular pecks. Damn, this dude is fit! Not good timing to be checking out a dude, but it was kinda hard when your hands were all over his body. Literally. When we rolled Leo over, he screamed out in pain and his eyes shot up to mine. All I saw was sadness, pain and ...guilt?  I just shook it off, but wasn't very successful.

"Leo what happened?" I asked through our mind link. I knew he couldn't talk due to his pain so I tried to make it easier for him. Cecil and Thorne just tried to see how bad the wound was.

"Kiara," Thorne's voice broke my thoughts and I instantly looked up at him, awaiting an answer. "It's a bullet wound."

"What?!" I screamed in shock. Why would someone shoot Leo? "Why?! How?!"

"I-I-I," Thorne just looked down at Leo then at Cecil who just looked wide eyed and worried. "I don't know. But it's deep. We're going to have to take it out before it does anymore damage to him."

"Kiara, we have to t-talk." Leo's voice appeared in my head, which made me look down at him again. I wanted to say something, anything, but for some unknown reason no words could be made. I just kept staring into his golden, nonhuman eyes. How was it physically possible to have those kind of eyes?

"I feel it, but I need you guys to hold him down while I try to pull it out." Thorne said breaking Leo and I apart. I looked up at Thorne and I could've sworn I saw a flash of pain across his face, but he just covered it with a small smile. "Okay?"

"Yeah."

"Yes."

All you could hear was Leo's small winces from pain, I even swore I saw him shed a few man tears. Cecil and I shifted over to better positions around Leo as Thorne started the procedure. I was positioned at Leo's head and Cecil at his feet while Thorne was busy pulling out the bullet. I watched as Thorne tried to pull it out with a few grunts but I was mainly focusing on all the blood coming out and it was scaring me. I could see Leo was getting weaker and paler due to it. I don't know what over came me, but my left hand slide down to the mark Leo and I shared over our hearts, and at the instant touch I could feel pain run through every vein of mine.
