Chapter 7: Leaving You Behind

Kiara's POV

"If you even think of touching her, I will --" Julie started to threaten but was cut off.

"Julie, love, you know when you start talking like that you make tingle." Andrew interrupted with his British accent -- well at least I think it was British. Andrew still had the devilish grin on his face. "I don't have time for your ... Little threats."

"We had a deal."Julie growled.

"And you already said that, love. I don't like to be kept waiting. You see your deal was taken under consideration, yes, but -- I couldn't careless about it. So here I am." Andrews arms stretched out as he started to walk towards us. Julie just stood there, not even moving.

"Julie?" I asked, looking frantically at her. Was she really going to give me up this easily? She looked into my eyes and that's when I realized that she couldn't do anything even if she tried. She was powerless against this man. "You're my Guardian! Julie do something!" I pleaded but only the sign of defeat shined in her eyes.

"I can't. When found, the Child of Power mustn't go with a fight. My job was to protect you until someone from the royal family came for you -- to care for you. " Julie replied in a hush voice, but she only did that when she was lying. She wouldn't even meet my eyes as I could see tears start to build up in her eyes. Was she lying to me?

"I see you have grown to love the child, it'll only make you weak." Andrew whispered as he stretched an arm out for me.

"I'm not going anywhere with you!" I yelled as I spat on his hand. OK, maybe I was just a bit stubborn. Just a bit. And it probably wasn't one of my smoothest moves, but it was the only thing I could think of. Instantly moving his hand away, he raised his other hand like he was getting ready to hit me.

"How dare you do --" Andrew started, but never got to finish.

"Father!" Next thing, I knew some other kid was stepping into the scene. "Father," he repeated and it was then that another pair of black eyes were placed on me, " remember what Thorn said, we are the last people she wants as enemies."

"Cecil." I growled, but I only received a smile from him.

"Kiara you've met this boy before?" Julie looked at me frantically.

I couldn't say anything so I just nodded. What could I say? 'Oh yeah I met this boy at a party you told me not to go to, then later on his creepy father Andrew found me at Ryan's and I didn't feel the need to tell anyone.' Yeah ... that wouldn't end to well for me.

"Hey Kiara." Was the only thing he said. Hey? Man this kid was whacked.

"Hey? Really? Look if you even think of laying a hand on me I swear I will rip your balls off."

"She's a sweet one, isn't she father?" Cecil asked his father in a humorous tone which just made me hate him more. To be honest, even if Cecil didn't touch me I will make sure he will never be able to have kids. Ever. The jerk.

"Now let's not waste anymore time here, we are on a right schedule, love." I watched as their black eyes follower my movements, as I took one step forward I still couldn't quite believe what was going. These men were taking me away from everything, my home, the beach, Ryan and Julie wasn't fining to do anything but watch.

"I have to say goodbye. Then I will go with you." I ordered Andrew and his son as I approached Julie. As I looked at her -- probably for the last time -- her face was still twisted with regret.

"Julie," I asked, hugging her. "I want you to look for me. And don't ever give up."

"Kiara, that's the problem ... I can't." Julie whispered as she pulled her body away from mine and turned to walk away.

"Julie!" I screamed but she didn't turn around. "Julie!" She didn't even stop, she just kept walking towards the house leaving me behind with Andrew and Cecil.
