Chapter 5: Seeing is Believing

~~~~
Kiara's POV
AS I LOOKED AROUND the landscape, I was nowhere near Florida for sure. There were unrecognizable trees and the suns glare shined down on me as I could see the heat waves.
Where was I?
I felt my body move, but I wasn't commanding it. As I tried to make it stop, I realized I wasn't even in my own body. Before I tried to do something and panic, a young man walked up to me.
"Cedric." I greeted him.
"Leo." He greeted back.
Leo? Who the heck is Leo?
"Erica and her brothers forces are weakening and she request for more men. Thorns killing all of them, he wants that throne..." Cedric stated. As I looked into his eyes, they were filled with worry and pain. Something Leo didn't enjoy seeing as we shifted uncomfortably.
"Don't worry. I'm sure her brothers are handling it quiet well. Send two hundred of our men. That should do the trick." We said watching Cedric's golden eyes again be filled with happiness. "And you may as well stay while your there." I felt my face move as I winked at the guy and let out a laugh.
Lucky guy. At least he has a mate with him.
Whoa. Did I just hear this so called Leo guys thoughts?! Okay, so rather Julie drugged me or this was some weird real dream thing. And I'm sure it's completely natural to hear another guys thoughts after you popped into his head. Im going with the option that Julie drugged me.
As I was thinking of devilish things to get back at her for ruining my bizarre dream of being a dude, the dude then walked away back to our vehicle leaving Cedric smiling.
Maybe he was on some pills too.
As we stepped into the sleek black SUV one thing kept paying over and over in Leo's head -- he felt a burning throughout his body.
"Any news?" He asked the driver with impatience as the burning feeling started to spread.
"Actually, yeah." The driver said shocked as he let the words slip. " I have reports from a trustworthy friend of mine indicating movement of Thorn's men settling in Florida, Kissimmee."
"Great. Take me to the airport." Leo said quickly. I could tell he was anxious, but who was Thorn and why was he so thrilled to come to Florida? I know it for sure wasn't for Disneyland.
"Right away sir. But promise me one thing."
"Anything Tobias, what is it?"
"Bring her home. I want to meet this lucky girl."
----
NEXT THING I KNEW, I WAS sweating and buckets and gasping for air. Yes, I know that's cliche but it was true. It took me about a minute to figure out what I had just witnessed.
"Kiara!" Julie came rushing to my side, staring at me frantically as her eyes searched me.
"Uhh ... What happened?" I grumbled as my head started to throb -- and me placing my hand on it didn't stop it either.
"To be honest, I seriously have no idea. You just blacked out." She spoke with her voice sounding confused.
"What?" Oh thank god, she didn't drug me.
"Honey, you just blacked out I was talking to you and then you just zoned out. At first I thought you were trying to scare me, but then when I checked your temperature you were burning up! Are alright?" She asked in her mom mode.
I really hated it when people asked me if I was alright. "Yeah I'm fine." I got up off the bed but soon regretted that.
Leo!
"Ah!" I fell instantly to the ground.
Leo! Help! He's here, he's after me! Hurry!
"Kiara!" Julie shouted but it still didn't defeat the voice inside my head as it pleaded for the boy I've never met. But that wasn't what scared it was the fact that the voice was my very own and it was begging for Leo.
