By the next one hour,I was bathed,dressed and all set to go.I walked out and found Meghna's and Kabir's room closed.I thought of waking them up but went downstairs to help nani instead.Nani was busy making sandwiches.
"Good morning,nani!",I said,taking some bread to make sandwiches.
"Morning,beta!Slept well?"
"Ofcourse,I did.The room is really cozy.Thank you."
"You don't have to thank me,in fact,I have to thank you.I'm glad you guys came here.Its so pleasant and lively now."
"I understand why you say that,nani.What with Meghna and Kabir around.The environment can never be silent and desolated with those two around."
Nani laughed and we continued to make sandwiches as we talked about weather,Tarkarli and its specialities.
"Aarthi...where are you?",I heard Meghna scream at the top of her lungs.
"Here,in the kitchen."
She came running inside the kitchen,heaving a sigh of relief.I shot her a questioning look.
"Nothing,I was just looking for you."
"For what?"
"Kabir told me that you were sick last night,so just wanted to check if you were ok."
"Ok,but do you have to come running..."
"Are you fine?",Meghna asked me,cutting me short.
"Yeah,I'm feeling better now.A lot better.Thanks to Kabir."
"Kabir?What did he do?",Meghna asked.
"That's called a secret.",Kabir walked in,munching on a banana.
I smiled at him and he smile back and winked at me.
"Beta,what happened last night?",nani asked,after we all calmed down a bit.
"I vomited.And my stomach hurt terribly."
"Oh!",she said,thinking of something.
"All ok?",I asked,shaking her back to life.
She smiled and nodded.
"When are you due?",she whispered.
Before I could reply,Meghna said,"We haven't visited the doctor yet.But since you are here,we don't have to either."
What?Nani treats pregnant women?But wait,how did Meghna hear her in the first place.
"How did you know that nani asked me when I'm due?"
Meghna laughed and said,"That old lady,I know what she is asking just by the look on her face."
We all laughed and ate our breakfast chatting about our lives and teasing nani.
"Nani,we need your help.Can you please tell us about Aarthi's medical condition?",Meghna asked,as we cleared the table.
"Oh sure.I'll clear off the table and join you in the balcony."
"No,nani.I'll clear it all.You take rest."
"Oi,Oiii...Ladies,Calm down.Both of you take rest,I'll clear off the table and join you upstairs.",Kabir said.
"No,Kabir..you don't...",I began to argue but he shut me up.
"Shh....Just go!",he whispered from behind me.
We went upstairs to the balcony and sat on the swing.
"Nani,we just know that she is pregnant but nothing else other than that.So,can you please....",Meghna said.
