Chapter 13 ~ Hogsmeade

AN : Here is the next chapter ! I finished it a few days later than I said I would, I'm sorry for that ! I was working on editing the previous chapters first, correcting grammar mistakes etc... Chapter 13 :

Soft hands were shaking me, causing me to groan and open my eyes slightly. “Alice, wake up!” I heard Luna’s familiar voice say.

I opened my eyes to see several people standing in our room. “Holy crap !” was my first response. I pulled my blanket to my chin as I noticed them looking at me with smiles on their faces. Luna, Ginny, Hermione, Parvati and Cho were chuckling at my response.

I shook my head while laughing myself. “How come I sleep through every single thing ?” I groaned. “Probably those nargles you told me about Luna.”

She nodded her head at me and agreed. Hermione opened her mouth as if to protest but closed it again, dropping the subjects of nargles.

“Ready for your first trip to Hogsmeade ?” Ginny asked me with a grin.

“Of course I am !” I exclaimed. “Give me fifteen minutes to get ready!” I searched for some clothes and excused myself. I went to the bathroom to make myself descent and left to breakfast with all the girls. We were all in such a good mood ! How could we not ?

During breakfast my eyes searched the Slytherin table for a sign of my Slytherin crush but he wasn’t there. I noticed how he was more and more absent lately.

After breakfast I walked through the corridors with Luna. “Who have you been snogging Alice ?” she suddenly asked me, turning serious. “I thought you would tell me if you had a boyfriend.” I could see by the look on her face that was hurt.

“You know ?” I asked her in shock.

“No I don’t. But I can clearly see the hickey on your neck.”

“WHAT ?” My hands shot to my neck immediately. Crap!! I remembered Draco kissing my neck and…apparently sucking it as well. When I thought about him I longed to be near him again. That was a thought that I pushed away quickly. 

“Oh Luna I feel so helpless !”

She sat down on a bench and I followed her example. “You can tell me anything Alice. You are my best friend. And you are the only one who truly understands me and my crazy ways. And I do believe that I understand you as well. I care about you, you know ?” She spoke with so much warmness in her voice that I almost felt tears welling up.

“I love you Luna ! You are simply the best. But I really don’t want you to judge me.” I sighed while she waited, not saying anything, urging me to go on. “Malfoy…” I whispered quietly.

“No way !!!” was her response. Her big blue eyes wide open in shock. “Did it happen yesterday ? When no one could find you ?”

I nodded while looking at my feet. “I was in his house.”

“Tell me everything !”

“I had kissed him before you know. I am so sorry for not telling you but I felt so ashamed about myself. The night when you said that nargles were bothering me, he kissed me at the astronomy tower. It was a mistake but then it happened again…yesterday. There was a portkey and we ended up in his house by accident. We sort of kissed again. Oh Luna…I think I might have a crush on him but I need to forget him as soon as possible ! I know for sure I hate him, yet I like him.” She listened to my story thoughtfully. “I’m such a fool !” I added.
