After we made our decision, we informed our parents. Needless to say, they were over the freaking moon. My old man gave me a knowing look, but he didn't say anything. And true to his word, about a million dollars was added to my account. For my father, that may as well have been a ten.

They made arrangements for a house to be made for me and Ethan. Looking over the blue prints, his parent's idea of a house, is about a three story mansion. But hey, who's complaining.
"So what are you gonna do once it's all finalized?" I watched as James took a drink of his brandy. We decided to go to one of the clubs to get my mind off of this.

"I told him not to expect anything from me. That my motives were purely self centered, and he said he was fine with that. All he cares about is if it's the best thing for the company. I swear, that guy has no back bone." I downed my vodka on the rocks and ordered another one. I looked at all the women dancing, but for some reason, none of them seemed appealing to me.

"Carter, you okay?" I looked at James and saw him watching me. He had a knowing look in his eyes, but I didn't know why. I simply nodded and took a drink. The music growing louder by the second. I looked around the club more, and my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. "Holy shit."

"What?" James' eyes followed the direction I was looking at, and he saw what I did. "Hey, isn't that your fiance?" I know he was being a smart ass, but I wasn't focusing on that. I was more focused on the pure and innocent man in front of me.

He was dressed in casual dark jeans, a white tee shirt with a casual blazer. I was so used to seeing him in all business suits, I was starting to believe that was all he wore. Looking at him closer, he seemed uncomfortable.

"What the hell is he doing here?" I saw some guys with him, and I guess those were his friends. They all seemed like pretty normal guys. I guess like us, they decided to come out and drink.

"You wanna go say hi?" I simply turned in my seat and faced the bar. I don't need him to know I'm here.

"No. I'm gonna head to the bathroom." I got up and made my way to the back of the club. The noise dying down the further away I got. I need to remember to drink water this time, I don't need another hang over.

"Do you think he'll finally give it up?" I stopped when I heard someone talking inside the bathroom. I know it's not my business, but for some reason I listened.

"Man are you kidding?! I have been with him for weeks now, and he still won't even kiss me. He hardly even let's me hold his hand." I pushed the door the bathroom open, and peeked inside. It was the two guys Ethan came here with. They were just leaning on the wall talking. I was about to step in, when their next words stopped me in my tracks.

"Well, you can always use plan B." The dark haired one handed the light brunet a small bag. I couldn't see inside it, but I knew all to well what it was.

"Yeah. You distract him, and I put them in." I wanted to beat the living shit out of them. Ethan is pure and kind, I won't let them drug him like that. I may not be friends with the guy, but I'm not about to let him get hurt either. I went to look for him, and saw him sitting in the same spot I saw him earlier.

"Ethan." He turned to look at me, and a bright smile appeared on his face. The changing colored lights seemed all wrong on his gentle face. He doesn't belong in a place like this. I may not really know him, but I know he's a good guy. I talked so much shit to him, but he never got mad. Even when he knows I am only marrying him to get what I want, he didn't judge me.

"Carter, hello. What a surprise, I didn't expect to see you here." I could say the same thing. "What's wrong, you're shaking." I'm surprised he could tell. He stood up and touched my arm. His warmth was already spreading through me, calming me down. Only Katherina can sometimes calm me down, so why him too?

"Ethan listen to me, we need to leave." I took his hand, and again I noticed how gentle but firm it was.

"I can't leave, I came with some friends." And on cue, they decided to make an appearance.

"What the hell is going on?" I turned to face dark brown and light brunet. I don't know their names, so that's what I'm calling them. "Hey man, that's my boyfriend you're touching." He looked at my hand, it was still holding onto Ethan's. I could see anger and jealousy, and it only made me hold onto Ethan's hand even more.

"Yeah? Last time I checked boyfriends don't try to drug their boyfriends." At the mention of their plan, they both paled. Even with the changing colors from the lights, you could still tell their natural color drain from their faces. Ethan must have caught it too, because he let go of my hand to confront them.

"Jackson, Michael, is this true?" His voice was low, but I could hear the pain in his voice.

"What the hell did you want from me?!" He yelled in his face, causing Ethan to take a step back, stopping when he bumped into my chest. Was he always a few inches shorter than me? I never noticed. "We've been dating for almost a month. A fucking month! And you wont even kiss me. I am a man with needs Ethan. So yeah, I was gonna put a little something in your drink to get you in the mood."

I don't know why I did it. Maybe it was because I hate guys like them. Who drug and use people just to satisfy their needs, not carrying the damage drugs like that can do to a person. Or maybe it was because I saw the tears in Ethan's eyes at his boyfriend's betrayal. But at that moment all I saw was red. I punched Ethan's boyfriend square in the jaw.

"Listen here you bastard. If I ever see you, or your little friend here anywhere near Ethan again. I will rip both your fucking dicks off and feed them to my dogs. Am I clear." My voice was calm, but even I could hear the venom in my voice.

"Carter." I saw James holding a very emotional Ethan. He motioned for us to go, and I dropped the piece of shit to the ground. I took Ethan from James and lead him out of the club. Once we were outside, James said he would take a cab home. He said Ethan may only want to talk with me.

"I'll call you tomorrow."

"Yeah." I looked over my shoulder to see Ethan, who was sitting in the car with his head down. "Be nice to him. After tonight, he must be really upset. Don't make it worse with that mouth of yours."

"Shut up." Cocky bastard. He said good bye and went to go call a cab. I entered my car, and saw Ethan with his head down. His hair was covering his eyes, but I could still see the silent tears falling down his cheeks. "Come on. Let's take you home."
