I. Want. To. Devour him! He is wearing his shorts, no shirt, and his fist were wrapped up. His body was covered by a long, silk black robe. He look deadly, but still cute. Only Ethan could pull that off.
"You nerves?" I watched as he bounced from one foot to the other, clenching his fist.
"A little, but it's normal. My match is the last one, so I have to wait." Today was his match, and I was worried. Ethan is a kick boxer, and I have been seeing fighter after fighter get hurt. They have either broken something, or are bleeding like crazy.
"Hey babe?" He stopped jumping and looked at me. My hands were crossed in front of my chest, and I could feel my body tensing up.
"Yeah?" He took one look at me, and gave me small smile. He pulled me to him, and wrapped his arms around me. I pulled him closer, enjoying his ever present warmth. "Carter, I'll be fine. I've been in the ring a bunch of times. I know what I'm doing."
"I know, and I trust you." I pulled back and looked into his gray eyes. "It's the other dude I'm worried about. Something doesn't feel right about him." We both looked to were his opponent was. The guy was huge, and wouldn't stop staring at us. More specifically, at Ethan. There was a strange look in his eyes, and a smirk on his face. I wanted to beat the shit out of him right then and there. But I would more than likely get my ass kicked.
"Carter look at me." I looked into his eyes, and it was like he cast some spell on me. How can he calm me down with just one freaking look? "I'll be fine. There are doctors on stand by, and the match ends before anything too serious happens. Now I'm up soon, and I need to go warm up. Meet up with James and Jenny, they must be worried by now." He gave me a reassuring smile, but the strange feeling wouldn't go away.
"Fine. But if that dick touches you any other way, I'm gonna need you to bail me out of jail." He started laughing, but nodded his head. "Okay. I'll see you after your match." I gave him a quick kiss, and smiled when I saw the blush on his cheeks.
I found my seat, and saw James and Jenny arguing. I watched as they fought over who gets the last gummy worm, and shook my head. I wasn't surprised by Jenny doing this. I expected more from James since he's the mature one out of us. But then again, I'm no better.
"That's it! No more fighting!" I took the gummy worm from the bag and ate it.
"Hey!" They both said at the same time. I ignored their glares and focused my attention on the fight. The match was getting intense. But it ended when one of the guys got knocked out.
"Carter, you cool man?" I felt James' hand on my shoulder, but it did little to calm me. I looked up, and saw him and Jenny staring at me.
"I don't know, something feels wrong." The next match was called, and it was Ethan's. The crowd went wild when his name was called, and I was shocked. They were all screaming their heads off. Girls were asking Ethan to marry them, or to be their baby daddy. Not gonna lie, I've never wanted to hit a woman before. But I sure as hell will slap a bitch.
"Someone's lime green jelly." I flipped Jenny off and she started laughing. "Dude relax. Ethan is a total angel. He would never leave you." I couldn't argue with her there. Ethan truly is an angel. Even as he got in the ring, his face covered by his robe's hood, he looked innocent. The robe dropped, pooling around his feet, leaving his bare chest exposed. The girls went nuts, and frankly so did I. He scanned the crowd, until his eyes landed on me. He smiled the sweetest smile, and waved.
"Did you see that?! He waved to me!"
"No! He waved to me!" The group of girls next to us started arguing, and it was pissing me off! I looked back to Ethan, and he flashed me an apologetic smile. I could never be mad at him, he couldn't help it. He was too damn cute for his own good.
The girls next to us stopped talking once the match was announced to start. Both fighters took their corners, and waited for the math to start. Once it did, my body went into shock. All you could see were blurs as they started throwing punches at each other. Occasionally a kick or two would connect, but for the most part Ethan dodge each hit.
"Dude! He's amazing!" James and Jenny were just as amazed as I was. I knew Ethan could fight if he wanted to, but I never expected this. His hits were like lightening. Each time it connected with his opponent, I could practically feel the impact.
"James?"
"Yeah?" Neither of us could take our eyes off the fight.
"Remind me to never piss him off."
"Back at ya bro."
The match was going great, and for a while, the feeling in my stomach started to go away. I started to rule it out as my nerves, but I was wrong. It was like watching a movie in slow motion, only less thrilling. I saw Ethan's opponent say something to Ethan. Whatever it was, it shocked the hell out of him.
Two seconds, that was all it took. In the two seconds that Ethan froze from shock, his opponent struck. All I saw was his foot, make contact with the side of Ethan's head. He was wearing head gear, but I know that kick did a lot of damage.
Ethan went down, and he didn't get back up. It was like everything around me froze, and all I could hear was my heart. Thump thump. I could see James yelling, but I didn't hear it. Thump thump. I could see tears in Jenny's eyes, but I was frozen. Thump thump, thump thump. My heart was beating faster, and my palms were sweating. THUMP THUMP! The world was spinning, but I couldn't make it stop. I saw doctors rush to Ethan's side, and place him on a gurney. When I saw his face, and his eyes remain close, all I saw was red.
"ETHAN!"
