The next Monday, classes have ended, and the students either went home or went to their respective clubs.
Hitoshi was still reminiscing his date with Meguu, the most popular girl in Uchida High and his childhood crush.
He sighed with passion as he sat in the astronomy club room, thinking of when and where his next date with her should be.
In the room where his fellow club mates Mai, Aoi, Emiko and the newest member, Taniyuki.
"Remind me again what the hell I'm doing here," the other boy said impatiently as he sat opposite the swooning Hitoshi.
"This is the astronomy club," replied Emiko. "This is the safest place you can be."
"Who says I wanna be safe?" said Taniyuki as he relaxed by resting the back of his head on his joined hands. "And really? An astronomy club? Please. I've been hopping from world to world taking jobs from intergalactic crime bosses."
"Y-You mean--" said Aoi, who's eyes grew wide as she stared at the boy. "You're an... alien too...?!"
"Alien is a relative term, Aoi Sugiyama," said Emiko. "Taniyuki Ishikawa, also known as Tayyuk Hazunn, is from the planet Tytonus, which your astronomers refer to as Kepler-452b, a warm superterran planet of the Cygnus constellation."
"K- Kepler-452b?!" said the flabbergasted Aoi. "A super-Earth?! This is amazing... Kepler-452b is habitable..."
"Hey, don't compare my planet to this tiny pebble," said Taniyuki nonchalantly as he crossed his feet on top of the table.
"T-Tell me, Ishikawa-san, is this your true form?" asked the bespectacled girl enthusiastically, almost fanatically.
"I keep Tayyuk Hazunn in that form to hide his presence from authorities," said Emiko, and with that she blinked once and Taniyuki went back to his original, gray-skinned form, causing Aoi to start back, shocked.
"What are you looking at?" said Tayyuk as his piercing black scleras stared into the bewildered girl's own eyes.
Emiko blinked once more and Tayyuk reverted to his human form.
"A-Amazing," said Aoi, placing a hand upon her chest as she took deep breaths. "Who knows how many other extraterrestrial beings are here in this very school..."
As the rest of the people conversed Mai looked out of the single window that allowed sunlight to penetrate the club room.
"It has certainly increased in temperature, has it not?" remarked the girl.
"S-Suzuki-san?" wondered Aoi.
"Earth is a seasonal world," said Emiko. "Your world, Ardonia, has only two seasons: dry and wet. In the temperate parts of Earth there are four."
"Four seasons?" asked Mai as she turned her attention to the emotionless girl.
"Precisely," said Emiko. "There is summer, which we are experiencing now, as well as autumn, winter and spring."
"Summer, you say?" said the curious Mai. "Elaborate, girl."
"Summer is when the days are longest and the nights are shortest," said Emiko, "resulting in the weather being the hottest of the year."
"Pffft, you call this hot?" said Mai in a bragging manner. "You should visit Ardonia sometime."
"I am aware that the temperatures on Ardonia are more extreme than on Earth's arid areas," said Emiko.
At that moment Mai cast a look on Hitoshi, who was still carrying the same expression since the end of his date with Meguu last Saturday.
"Hitoshi," she called out to him.
