Me enteré de que Danielle estaba en coma porque David me escribió un e-mail. Era media noche en Berlín cuando lo leí y sentí una punzada en el corazón.

Sin entender muy bien por qué, me puse a llorar de inmediato. Fue incontrolable y mi compañera de habitación, con quien vivía desde que entrara a esa universidad, se me acercó asustada apenas me escuchó gemir de tristeza.

― Kyra, ¿qué te pasa?― Marcela era mexicana.

― No lo sé― confesé entre lágrimas.
