Alexandra's/Manami's POV

Everyday, Shika and I would hang out and I would wonder...where are his friends? So I asked him.

"Hey Shika? Can I meet your friends? I know you're not a total loner so...where are your friends at?" I asked him curiously.

He choked on air. Did I say something wrong? Oh, maybe he's embarrassed of me, that's why we hang out away from Konoha 12.

Or maybe, he has a crush on a girl and he doesn't want me to know about it thinking I'll embarrass him.

Ok, Manami, stop right there. He's Shikamaru for Kami's sake! He must have a reason why he hasn't introduced me to them.

Shikamaru's POV

Introducing her to the gang!? I don't want to! What if one of the other guys catch her attention and she decides to go out with him instead?

We're not together, I know, but I can't help feeling vulnerable to the idea of losing any remote interest she has in me.

Sigh. I can't do nothing about it, can I? "What a drag. I think they're at the training grounds. Want to go meet them right now?"

Kami, I'm going to regret this. I can tell.

Alexandra's/Manami's POV

We walked towards the training fields and sure enough there they were. Konoha's rookies. I guess they heard us because they turned to look at us.

"I see why Shikamaru's been ditching us!! He got himself a girlfriend!! And she's smoking hot!? Where did you find a catch like this Shika? C'mon, sharing is caring!! Ain't that right Akamaru?" Kiba asked his adorable puppy.

"Arf!!" It's so kawaii I'm gonna die!!! "Awwww he's such a cutie!!! And we're not dating, I just moved here so the Hokage had me living with Shika-kun here." I told him petting Akamaru and deciding to ignore his flirty ways.

"Oh really?" Kiba said putting an arm around my waist. I looked at it with a raised eyebrow. "In that case, why don't we ditch these losers and get to know each other a little better if you know what I mean." Kiba said, oblivious to my obvious dislike.

I lightly grabbed his arm, which looked like I was reciprocating the movement and he smirked. I then removed it from my waist and walked towards Shika.

"Sorry cutie, but I'd much rather date lazy ass over here. I'm not into the whole player thing. It disgusts me." I told him with a subtle smug face.

"What!? What did you just-you know what? Whatever! You'll come to your senses soon. You just wait and see. No one can resist this! Isn't that right Akamaru?" "Arf!"

I rolled my eyes. I scanned the group over and decided to introduce myself since they were just staring except team 7 of course.

"Greetings! The earth says hello! The name's Manami. Manami Kosonoy. Pleasure to meet you all" I told them with a close eyed smiled.

Shika sighed and stood next to me. He put one arm on my shoulder and pointed all of them out to me.

"That ball of energy over there is Naru-" I cut him off. "I already know that little ball of energy Shika-kun." I giggled.

"Naruto! Mah man!! What chu been up to you crazy ball of pent up energy and never ending loyalty!?" I walked away from Shika, who I didn't notice slightly glaring at Naruto.

I ran up to Naruto and he met me halfway. When we were about to crash he put his arms in from of him and picked me up and spun me in circles.

I laughed merrily and when he put me down I grinned at him. "How's the future Hokage doing? Working hard?"
