Alexandra's/Manami's POV

"Guys, I can see a possible future." I told them. They just started. That is until Yuika spoke up.

"So that's why you trusted us so easily! You saw us being great friends!!" She concluded. I giggled to myself.

"Yes Yui-chan, that's why." I told her slightly laughing. "But remember, no one can know. Only us. Can you imagine all the trouble Konoha would be just for me being here?" I told them.

They all agreed. "Ok, in that case, let me say right now that this secret is only one of many. I can't say just yet what they are. I'll tell you after a certain event happens so please be patient."

Shino's POV

One of many? Does that mean she's still a mystery? It does, doesn't it? I want to get to know her.

I took this chance as a golden one. Why? Because I may never get another one again. I grabbed her wrist before she could walk away.

"M-my father would like to meet you. I mean, for dinner. I-I mean..." I was mortified. What was going on with me? Why can't I make sense? For the first time in my life, I was tripping over my words.

She giggled. "Shino, it's not like you to lose your cool. I'd love to meet your dad. What's his name Shino-kun?" She said.

She's right. I need to keep myself grounded. Calm down. "Right. His name is Shibi. Aburame Shibi." I told her, calm once again.

"Shibi-san is your dad? We already met! A long time ago. I'll come to dinner though, say hi y'know? How's tomorrow?" I just nodded, afraid I'd choke on my words again.

I just can't believe my dad already knows Manami. How did they meet? How come they met? I'll just have to find out.

Alexandra's/Manami's POV

I had to giggle to myself. Shino is so cute when he loses his cool like that. It's adorable. I knew Shibi was his dad, and I knew he didn't ask to meet me so I figured it was his own way of asking to hang out. Which I gladly accepted.

I finally caught up to Gaara and started catching up on the bijuu meetings. "Yeah I plan on telling him after the chūnin exams are over. That way, when we train, he'll have a motive." I told him.

"A motive? Why's that?" Gaara asked me, almost terrified of the answer. I smiled sadly. "I know of the invasion Gaara. I just hope you guys know the Kazekage has been dead for a while now. Orochimaru has been posing as him." I told him seriously.

"What? How?" Gaara asked-no demanded. I had to lie a bit. "I don't know. I just saw it in a vision."

He looked down in thought. We kept walking in silence. Just enjoying each others company. I was just enjoying the evening sky. The sound of people passing me by.

Then we made it to the Nara household. I bid Gaara goodnight and went in. As I stepped inside, the lovely smell of yakisoba hit me like a ton of bricks. It was heavenly. I was already drooling.

I basically floated my way to the kitchen and found Yoshino cooking. I took a deep breath, taking in the blissful smell, and sighed happily.

"Smells delicious Yoshino-san. Need any help?" I asked her. She turned her head to face me and smiled. "Of course, could you help set up the table? That's it. I'll finish up here." Yoshino said.

"You got it!" I told her, setting up the table. Once I was done, Yoshino and I served the plates and called the guys in.

It was a lovely dinner. Yoshino would ask us how our day was, Shika would answer lazily, I'd slap his shoulder and scold him, then answer Yoshino correctly, but most importantly, we enjoyed the meal.

I bid Shikaku-san and Yoshino-san sweet dreams and went to my room to change. Then I went to Shika's room to tell him good night.

I knocked on his door and opened it slightly. 'Holy mother of great baby Jesus!!' was my only thought.

He was shirtless and walking around his room like that with no intentions of covering up anytime soon. Y'know for a lazy ass, he's real fit. It's almost ridiculous. I wish I could be lazy and still look good!!

Shikamaru's POV

I noticed Manami at the door. She was blushing. Why is she... Oh. I smirked. "I'm sorry did you knock? I wasn't paying attention, I was thinking. What is it?" I asked her, putting a shirt on.

She cleared her throat. "I-I was just s-saying goodnight. I-I'm sorry for disturbing." She said turning around to leave. That's when I got the courage I've been trying to conjure for the past 3 days.

"Hey Manami?" I said, getting her attention. She turned around and looked at me, still blushing a little bit. She's so cute.

"Yes Shika?" She asked timidly. Kami she's driving me insane. I almost lost my courage. Almost. "I-I was wondering. W-would you, I don't know, maybe go on a, uhh, date? With me? Sometime?" I finally said sounding like a complete idiot.

There. I finally asked her. Like a baka but I did it. Now I'm just waiting for an answer. Which I hope is a yes because if not I'm going to die of embarrassment. What a drag.

Alexandra's/Manami's POV

"I-I was wondering. W-would you, I don't know, maybe go on a, uhh, date? With me? Sometime?" Shika asked, tripping over his words.

Did he just-? Ay dios mio, yes he did. He asked me out. On a date. Me. With him. Holy shit. I'm freaking out.

"Sh-shika I... I-I..." I tried to answer but I was so excited I couldn't speak. I don't think Shika knew that at all because he looked defeated.

"I understand Manami. It's ok-" I cut him off. "Shut up baka! You didn't let me finish! I was going to say that I'd love to go out with you before you rudely interrupted me you asshole." I told him grinning.

"R-really!? Ahem, I mean, cool. Be ready by 7 yeah?" Shika said. I giggled at him. "Sure Shika. Should I show up in my ninja gear? Cause tomorrow is the 2nd exam." I reminded him snickering.

He face palmed. "Ok, I'm officially an idiot when I'm around you. After the 2nd test, I'll take you out ok?" He said, looking like he was beating himself up on the inside. Cute.

I chuckled and kissed his cheek. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." I told him. That's when he surprised me.

"I'm going to be honest and say I'll be counting the days for it. I'm looking forward to it. Good night Manami. Sweet dreams." He said, and kissed the corner of my mouth.

He lingered there for a second then pulled back and smiled a lazy crooked grin. I just practically turned to melted butter.

I nodded in a daze and walked out. Once in my room, I got inside my covers and went to sleep, dreaming about that date.

I can't wait for that date...
