And then the new wave came. And so the real party began...with more flying dinosaurs. Just spectacular. Loki had called for reinforcements. No cake for him.
"Guys, a game plan right now would be really useful," I asserted.
"Call it, Captain," Tony added.
"All right, listen up," Steve began, his and all of our eyes glued to the portal above. "Until we can close that portal up there, our priority is containment." He turned to Barton. "Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays." Then to Iron Man. "Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash."
Barton turned to Tony. "Wanna give me a lift?"
"Right." Iron Man stepped next to him "Better clench up, Legolas."
Holding onto his quiver, Iron Man flew off with the Hawk.
Steve turned to Thor. "Thor, you gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning, light the bastards up."
The Asgardian twirled his hammer and soared away.
Steve turned to Nat next. "You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here." And then to the big green guy. "Hulk."
The monster turned his snarling expression to him.
"Smash."
He grinned and leapt away, clobbering the Chitauri on the buildings.
And lastly his attention lay on me. "Andi, you get any civilians off the streets and outta the buildings. Portal them to somewhere safe, anywhere but here. When there's no one, left get back here and kick some Chitauri tail."
I grinned. "Yes, sir." And I portaled away
