a glimpse into this brain of mine

attention?

people they try to tell us of their problems one by one

we get upset

don't care

wont fret

then turn around and do the same to others; we might lie

for attention's all we care about

its all we really want

to have somebody listen in

and never shut us out

so why, my friends, if we all

share this common goal

do we do just the opposite of what we want

shutting out the world, as a whole?
