We are all misanthropes
Going through this life is a pain
We've lost all our ambitions, dreams and hopes
Sometimes being happy is a strain
But a smile from a stranger can make our whole day
A little encouragement from an Internet post
Can be all it takes to make us say
Maybe my future isn't totally toast
I need a hug and my GPA needs a raise
Pretend with me, at least to try
I'll give you so much praise
Sometimes it's good to cry
So let it out and tell the world how you feel tonight
We're listening with all our heart
Everyone has a little fight
Love can give that a huge start
Sleep well this lovely night my dears
