Falling snow is a calming thing
As it floats gently to the ground
Coating the world in a quiet blanket
When you look down the street with the cars silently still
Dusted with mother nature's powdered sugar
It's peaceful
The howling wind at night paints patterns in the road snow
It's beautiful
A black sky filled with stars glinting against the mounds in the driveway
Each snowflake the most unique and delicate of them all
Children draw angels with themselves,creating heavenly silhouettes
Snowmen guard houses, with broomsticks, oh so tall
Grinningly punting bootfulls of fluff and watching it settle back down
It's captivating
The magic of winter doesn't end with Christmas time
That's only the beginning
And the bestest, bestest part
