Chapter 11: The File

A few more days past but no Justin. School was fun but learning was boring. I NEEDED to see Justin...he can't just leave me. I need him. Maybe I should go to his house. I was sitting in math class looking at the board but not really paying any attention. I couldn't get him off my mind. I looked over at Zoe who was already looking at me. "SO boring!" She mouthed at me. I smiled "Mrs. Livine needs to liven things up!" I mouthed back. She laughed. I turned back to face the front of the room. I cannot wait till schools out so I can go to Justin's house.

I looked over at the clock 2:57 the bell rings at 3:00. Any minute now. I reached down to put my note book away. "Lily, what are you doing?" I looked up Mrs. Livine was standing right by my desk. "I was um, putting away my notebook. I don't need it anymore." She pursed her lips together "I don't think so. We're not done taking notes. Keep it out and talk to me after class." Ugh she was so annoying.

The bell rang and all the students hopped out of their seats and left. I slowly put away my stuff then walked up to her desk. "I have one question for you Lily, what did we learn about today?" Oh god. I wasn't paying attention. I looked at the board and knew exactly what was on it "we reviewed how to square a number." She looked at me angrily "ok you can go now, but next time you'll be sent to the principals office." I nodded at her then walked out. Zoe was waiting for me outside "what did you get in trouble for?" I kept walking past her "nothing really. She just wanted to accuse me of not paying attention." I turned around to face her "listen I have to go ill call you tomorrow?" She smiled and nodded "bye Lil!" I waved at her "bye Zoe" I turned and started walking fast to get out of here.

Here I was, in the drive way to Justin's house. His house was so modern and cool. It was in the middle of the forest on a windy dirt road. I pulled up to his house and Ashley ran out. "Hi Lily! It's been so long! Where have you been?" I half smiled "you don't know?" She looked confused at me "don't know what?" I closed the door to my car "Justin actually uh...broke up with me...he said it would be safer for me." Her face got a really sad look in it "oh honey...I'm sorry. I wonder why he would do that?" I hugged her "we got...kidnapped...and we were...tortured. But I'm not suppose to tell you." Now the tears were rolling down my face. "Is that why he hasn't come home? Is he still there?" I looked up at her confused "no. He got freed the same time I did." She looked at me confused "he hasn't been here in 5 days."

What? Then where was he? I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed his number. I heard a familiar ring coming from my car. I went in there and started frantically looking around. There it was, his phone. I ended the call on my phone and picked his up. I looked through his phone looking for anything. I found a note in his notes application that was titled "dear Lily," I clicked it open.

Dear Lily,

If you've found this note that means I left you and you tried calling my phone to find me but you found it in your car. I want you to know that I didn't want to do this to you I just think it's safer that I'm gone. You'll see me soon but only after I fix this mess and make sure your safe. I left a file on my computer explaining more.

Ashley must have read it because she said "I know where his computer is it's in his room. Ill give it to you hold on." In a second she was gone and then back holding the computer "you can take it and look at it at home." I took the computer hugged her one last time then got in my car and drove away.

I got home and went straight to my room. I sat on my bed and opened the computer he had left it on. I looked on his desktop and found a file labeled "Lily" I double clicked it. A ton of stuff started popping up on the computer then it turned black. I started freaking out. What happened? I didn't do anything! This cant he happening. Then a dark blue black background appeared. "Hey Lil. I know your probably mad or scared. And I'm sorry." Justin was talking to me on the computer. I got scared and slammed the computer shut.

"But listen Lil before I say anything you could be in huge danger. Sm" the sound was breaking up like the video was failing. "Is coming for you" then I just heard a ton of half words. I grabbed the computer and opened it. Instead of Justin's face a picture that said "password: macntoast71" I quickly wrote it down. What did he mean by I was in trouble? All the sudden the computer shut down. Thank god I had written down the password.
