The remainder of the evening was bland like usual with Grace putting the majority of her attention into some online courses she was taking during her free time when she wasn't working at Delacour Spa and Wellness - the spa we used to work at together.
Around five-thirty I began making dinner which was a homemade spinach lasagna. After we ate, Grace went back to her homework while I went to take a bath and get ready for tomorrow.
Could I really do this? I asked myself as I laid down to go to bed that night. Forcing my eyes closed I focused on the paycheck. Six figures meant it was at least one-hundred thousand dollars. The perks of being able to travel to places I've never been nor would ever get the chance to do sounded amazing and so did being able to attend red carpet events. The only thing I couldn't fathom was the wife part. It was a no brainer that this meant I would eventually have to meet his parents and him mine. Then the wedding and pretending to be a loving doting married couple to society, which became extremely problematic once you factored in the part where he was a A-list celebrity, meaning he had little to no privacy when we were in public.
It was around ten o'clock when I managed to fall asleep. But that time quickly dwindled away and soon I was being waken by the sounds of FKA Twigs song In Time playing as my alarm clock. I got up and got dressed in a floral dress and flats - since it was supposed to be pretty warm today - and ran a brush through my hair before pulling it back into a high ponytail. I made myself a mixed berry smoothie and was out the door.
As I punched in the address I was supposed to meet Theo at into the phone's gps I noticed that it was taking me out to Malibu.
The hour and a half long drive pulled me out towards the more secluded areas of the ocean where the houses were massive and plenty. Soon I was directed to a road that wound up into the hills and suddenly the houses all began to dwindle down until there was nothing but trees, ocean view and road.
After driving for another fifteen minutes I came to a stop outside of a massive wrought iron gate. Taking out the paper that had the code I punched it in and waited for the gate to swing open. Another two minutes of driving and I pulled into a round-about driveway laid out before a huge two story red brick mansion with white framed windows and blue shutters. There were even four massive columns which gave it a regal appearance.
As I parked and got out of my explorer I noticed how oddly placed this home was, being that the ocean was literally less than a hundred yards away. Now that I looked around I noticed that there was even what appeared to be a horses stable sitting off to the left. I didn't know he rode horses.
"Did you have any trouble getting here?" I heard Theo ask, drawing my attention to him.
He was wearing what appeared to be a gray-blue cut off shorts, a colorful plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows with a 3/4th sleeve off-white knit sweater. He was gorgeous.
"I had a ton of trouble, kept getting lost with all these huge houses. It's a pity that with how advanced todays technology is, that we have yet to come up with a device that can navigate us successfully from one point to another." I replied sarcastically.
The corner of Theo's mouth quirked up as he stared down his perfectly straight nose at me. "You are going to keep things interesting with that mouth of yours, aren't you?" He said in his attractive British accent.
I pursed my lips as I rose an eyebrow to him. "It depends what you define as interesting." I said before I sidestepped around him and started towards the house.
