"Here guys, try this, its a little something I whipped up." Grace said as she handed them both glasses. "I've been wanting to get into the art of mixing drinks." She said.
Theo waved the drink in a small circle just below his nose and sniffed before he rose his eyebrows and lifted the glass to his lips.
"Not bad." He said before he continued drinking. "It's definitely a bit sweet, which I surprisingly like." Jeffery said after he finished his drink.
"I'm glad you like it." She grabbed another drink from the bar and handed it to me. "Try it, you'll like it."
I took the glass into my hand and took a sip. Just like Jefferey said it was a bit sweet. It was good.
"Do I taste malt? What is that, root beer?" I asked once I finished it.
"Yeah, there is some root beer in there." She said as she took a seat on the couch looking apprehensive.
"Wow, what kind of alcohol did you put in that drink?" I asked as I suddenly started feeling very light headed and drowsy.
"Everclear, of course."
I heard the men began laughing.
"Seriously? Why would you-" Suddenly everything began spinning. "I-I... I think I should sit down now.
"Sit down? I don't think so, this party has only just begun." Grace said as she crossed the room to the stereo and turned on some music. "Come on everybody, lets dance until we all pass out." She said as she pulled Jefferey to his feet and they began dancing.
Taking a breath I tried to focus my eyes as I stumbled across the room and took a seat on the couch beside Theo. Maybe a minute later I heard a loud thud and turned my head to see what looked like the blurry figure of Jefferey passed out on the floor. Then Grace was at my side trying to pull me to my feet.
"JD passed out, looks like you have to keep me company." She said to me as I stood up.
Almost immediately my legs buckled under me and I fell back onto the couch. My legs felt like jelly and the rest of my body felt numb. It was like I was slowly becoming trapped inside my mind.
Grace giggled before turning to Theo, "As the fiance to my best friend you now have obligations to entertain." She said, pulling Theo to his feet.
He stood easily, but swayed a slight bit, or maybe it was my mind making the room sway and spin. From where I stood I saw her lead Theo away from the couch and she began dancing while he just stood there.
"I should get Ellie to bed." Theo said as Grace grabbed his hands and began doing the twist. "And then I should go to bed, myself."
"Theo, don't be a party pooper. Anyways, can you see my face? How blurry is it?"
"Very," He slurred. "That's why I need to sleep."
Suddenly I began throwing up. I managed to turn on my side so I didn't choke and vomit went all over the floor.
"I need to get Ellie to bed." Theo slurred again.
"Theo, look at me, I am Ellie." I heard Grace say.
I turned my head slightly to look at her and saw that her hair was now brown. How was her hair brown? I tried to push myself into an upright position to get a better look.
"Ellie?" Theo said, rubbing his eyes to try and fix his blurred vision.
"Yeah, it's me. Dance with me." She said to him and I saw Theo pull her closer.
