"Anything you wanna tell me?" Sophias asks when we leave the cab.
"No, not really. Same question to you."
"Not really, actually."
We both know the truth. I'm dying to know what happened last night with Liam but honestly I don't feel very tempted to tell her anything about me and Harry. A bit selfish of me, but for as much as she doesn't want to, she'll always get judgmental about it.
Niall spots us and approches us. "Good morning ladies." He winks and keeps up with us.
"Morning cous."
"How was it?" Niall eyes shine with amusement.
"What?" For moments I was expecting that question being directed to me, but Niall had no way of knowing about my dinner with Harry. Liam and Sophia wouldn't tell for sure because it's not something they feel happy about and I doubt Harry has told anyone. I mean who could he possibly tell about when everybody hates him and walks away?
"Don't be so embarassed Sophs, everyone knows what's going on between you and Liam."
"I don't know what you're talking about." It's not very typical of Sophia to escape conversations. She's always the one to put everything on show. Liam is definitly changing her on this department.
"Why don't you just admit, you're totally down for him." Niall laughs and I join him.
"Mind your own damn business Niall."
Niall puts both hands up in surrender. "Okay okay, but I want to be invited for the wedding."
Sophia rolls her eyes dramatically. "Why don't you just piss the hell off Melissa? She'll definitly be a lot more patiente than me."
"She's definitly a lot more nice than you." He laughs as we made our way inside.
When we enter, reality hits me. Harry.
Harry will be here for sure and I don't know how can I face him after last night. I've got to admit that last night ended up being a lot nicer than it started. I know it was something wanted or he would never bother to even care for me after the, well I guess sort of fight at the restaurant. Maybe I was just that, fun for a night. Maybe he won't even talk to me again, now that he got what he wished. Maybe you'd stop being such a paranoid, Melissa.
I really need to keep myself together when I see him, otherwise people will notice something's going on.
"Earth for Mia." Niall waves his hand in front of my face. "Something wrong?"
"No, just thinking." Thank God I don't think out loud.
"So do you wanna go dinner tomorrow night? You still need to pay me that lunch you promised though." I forgot I never actually had that lunch with him.
"Sure, if I make it out here alive. I have so many manuscripts to read in the next few days."
"Gotta get some time to eat. I'm counting on you." He gives me his usual wink before disappearing down the hall.
I wait for the elevator a bit while checking on my purse for my phone. I really need to call my mom. It has been ages since I call her, and I miss her. She must be really busy working because she hasn't called yet.
"I'm here, no need to call." His accent takes me by surprise.
"Good morning."
"It is indeed." Harry's eyes cross mine when the elevator opens. Alex's leaving the elevator, looking as if we've grown like four heads each.
