Jeff's Point of View
Jessie's eyes close as her body goes completely limp in my arms. "Jessie!" I yell out her name, but it's no use, she won't wake.
Picking her up, I sling her over my shoulder and hurry to the house. Once I get inside, I head straight to the bedroom and place her body on the bed. Taking her chin in my hand, I hold her head still as I open her eyes with my other hand. Her eyes are staring vacantly up at nothing. I let go of her and her head slumps to the side. Her breathing is shallow, but steady. I need to get this makeup off of her. Pulling my hoodie off, I throw it to the floor. Then I go and gather everything I need to get her cleaned up. As soon as I have everything I need, I head back to the bedroom. Setting everything on the nightstand, I go to work on her. I wet the washcloth in the bowl of water and work up a good lather with the soap. It takes me quite a while to clean the makeup and latex from her skin. After I'm done, I notice something on the side of her neck that isn't makeup. Moving her hair away from her neck, I take a closer look.
"Motherfucker!" Now, I'm pissed, realizing what happened to Jessie. "That fucking clown poisoned Jessie! If I ever see that motherfucker again, I'll kill him!"
Knowing how serious the situation is, I have to act fast. I take everything I brought into the room to clean Jessie up out with me. Going into the bathroom, I get the bottle of ibuprofen, rubbing alcohol, a clean washcloth, gauze and medical tape, then head to the kitchen. I grab a small cup and pour a very small amount of milk into it. Taking two pills from the ibuprofen bottle, I open the capsules and pour the medicine into the milk, stirring until its completely dissolved. I put fresh cool water in the bowl and place the washcloth in the water. Taking the milk, bowl, rubbing alcohol, a paper towel, the gauze, and tape, I rush back into the bedroom. I place everything on the nightstand and douse the paper towel with rubbing alcohol. I turn Jessie's head as far as I can to expose the long scratch on her neck. The wound is a lot deeper than I first thought. It's oozing a thick black substance, poison. I take my time and thoroughly clean out the wound with the rubbing alcohol. Normally when alcohol is applied to an open wound, the body will instinctively react to the burning sensation. Jessie's body, however, doesn't move at all. This tells me that the poison has affected her nervous system already. I place the gauze over the wound, taping it down. Now, I have to get some medicine in her. I pull her limp body into a sitting position. Sitting behind her, I lean her back, resting her head against my chest. I grab the cup with milk and medicine, leaning her head back with my hand. Placing the cup against her mouth, I use the hand holding her head to pinch her nose closed with my fingers and slowly pour the milk into her mouth. With her nose pinched closed, her body has no other choice but to swallow the liquid. Once I get all the medicine in her, I release her head, set the cup down, and take the washcloth out of the water. Wringing it out, I place it on her forehead. I wrap my arm around her holding her close to my body. The heat radiating from her is so intense, it's uncomfortable. I keep her close to me just the same.
With her head resting on my shoulder, I lean my face close to hers. "Jessie," I whisper into her ear. "You have to fight this. I will NOT let you go. Remember, you're mine."
After several hours, I end up falling asleep with Jessie wrapped in my arms. I awake as soon as the sun appears in the sky, without my sleeping mask on, the morning light goes straight into my eyes. I feel Jessies body start to convulse against me. Moving out from under her, I lay her on her side. I kneel next to the bed and hold her down.
"Jessie!" I know she can't hear me, but I call out to her anyway.
I feel so useless, not being able to stop her from convulsing. All I can do is wait for the convulsions to subside on their own. Finally, her body relaxes, but her breathing is shallow and uneven.
