Chapter 7

School started way too soon.

I hated school. Everything about it was sickening, but I still had another year. 

I wore cute clothes and went on my way to the school, driving my car I barely used all summer because I didn't have a life outside of going to Korea. I couldn't stop thinking about Xiumin. I couldn't.

When I parked and started walking into the building, I froze.

Xiumin?

I looked harder, and realized, no, it was not Xiumin. I went to a small school--we didn't have any Asian guys going to our school. This guy looked half-Asian, and was hot. He was walking towards the school, so I drifted over to him. "Hey," I said. "Are you new?"

"Yeah," he said. He didn't seem that friendly. Actually, he seemed rather annoyed.

"I'm Aubree," I said, smiling.

"I'm Seth," he said. "Nice to meet you."

"Do you have your schedule?" I asked. "Do you know your way around?"

"Dude, what's up?" He asked me. "Too may questions, too early in the morning. Why are you even talking to me?"

"Oh my gosh," I said, so irritated, I knew I was going to be blunt. "I think you're hot, okay?" There it went, I had no chill.

"What?" Seth turned to look at me. "Did you seriously just say that to me?"

"Yeah," I said. I immediately began to regret it. "Wow, I'm sorry. I'm not normally like this. It's just...you're right. It's early in the morning. I have no control of what is coming out of my mouth. Sorry." I began to walk away, but Seth grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him.

"Wait," he said. "You're really pretty. I'm just not in a great mood. I just moved here four days ago, and it's been so annoying. Everything. I'm taking that out on you. How about you give me your number and I'll call you after a week or so after I get my life back together and stop acting like a complete ass?"

I smiled. "Sure."

As we walked away from each other, I don't know why I believed him. Over a week passed, and he didn't call me. And Xiumin was still 25 and in South Korea.
