Chapter: 6

DAMON P.O.V.

''What?'' I asked 

''Bring Elena to me'' Klaus asked

''No'' I said and spat at him

Klaus swiftly and quickly had his hand on my throat and squeezed

''Damon you should consider'' Klaus said squeezing my throat more 

''Go to hell'' I said bearly 

''Fine you choose death'' Klaus said letting me go and throwing me on the concrete

''Alexander grab Iris please'' Klaus ordered

''No your not'' I said getting up and running to the car where Iris was

''Damon stop fighting, she's going to transition into what shes destined to become'' Klaus yelled

But when I got to the car she was no longer there,  she must've ran when she had the chance, I didnt wait to chat I left running as well she wasnt that far.

KLAUS P.O.V.

''She escaped including the Salvatore'' Alexander said

''Let them get a head start, they'll need it especially Damon'' I said

I walked over to the car and looked around and finally after a couple of minutes found what I was looking for, Damon's phone.

''Sad isn't it, forgetting your phone at the time of need'' I said smiling 

I smashed the phone in my hand and threw the debris from my hand

''Damon doesnt have long'' I said 

DAMON P.O.V.

''Iris'' I whispered getting near

''Damon'' Iris said as she jumped off a tree

''Are you okay?'' I asked 

''I should be asking you'' Iris said with a worried expression

''Let's just go'' I said 

We walked for a while until we reached a nearby town with a cheap motel, we both got to the room and I started getting the pain, that meant the bite was spreading. Iris got a wet cloth and started wiping the blood off the bite I winced as she did that. Once she was done I went to the mini fridge of the room and pulled out some vodka and started drinking.

''Damon I'm leaving'' Iris said suddenly 

''No your not'' I said 

''This is my fault and because you tried to help me your going to die'' Iris said tearing up

''I'm bound to die one day'' I said 

''But today is not that day'' Iris said 

''Look come here sit down next to me'' I said, she walks over to me and sits on the  bed with me 

''I'm going to tell you some stories about me and hear me out I need to stay awake'' I said 

''Okay'' Iris said in tears

''Stop crying  I dont like cry babys'' I said smiling

''I'm so not a cry baby'' she said wiping the tears away

''Fine, whatever you say'' I said laughing

''So what are we going to talk about?'' she asked 

''About my life'' I said
