What are you writing about?" Bruno leaned over early in the morning laying on the couch with Lola who had her laptop on her stomach.
"Nothing really...it's all crap right now." she said not looking up from her screen continuing to type.
"I'm not going to steal your computer to read it." he said pushing at her feet to try to get her attention.
"Then what are you going to do?" she wondered.
"Just say that I think whatever you're writing is probably going to be amazing." he said to her.
"Oh god. You need to leave. You're starting to be too much." she joked.
"Don't worry, you'll be rid of me in a few hours." he said sadly.
"Well now that you say it tat way..." she said putting down the laptop looking at him wearing a t-shirt and shorts with his hair all over the place. She sat on the same couch looking pretty similar, with cotton shorts and a sleeveless shirt on accented by her hair placed in a high bun.
"You want me to stay? Forever?" he asked with a pout.
"I would not mind you staying, I don't know what my roommates would say..." she answered with a smile.
"Yeah. I really don't know what they would think." they both turned around hearing Madelyn answer them.
"I wouldn't mind it at all..." Bianca told them all dropping her bags on the floor.
"His hair is all over the place and his farts smell like Geronimo." she told her roommates not moving from the couch.
"And I eat a lot." he said with a wnik.
"Oh. Eww. Yuck." Lacie sat down at the table across from the couch. "What did you crazy kids do while we were gone?"
"Nothing special." Lola said still typing.
"Did she sit on the couch all weekend working?" Madelyn asked.
"No. Just this morning." Lola responded.
"Yeah right." Madelyn continued to joke. The four f them continued to talk about their weekends and Bruno sat and listened. Thirty minutes into the conversation Lola looked over at the couch where Bruno was to see an empty space.
"Where did my boyfriend go?" she asked them.
"I don't know..." Bianca responded pointing to the bedroom.
"Oh. Right..." Lola glanced at her room to see Bruno standing over his suit case. She smiled at her roommates and then walked up behind him hugging him from behind kissing his neck. "I really don't want you to leave. I really liked sleeping next to you..."
"I liked sleeping next to you too..." he said continuing to pack.
"And I'm going to miss you." she said stepping away from him sitting down on the edge of her bed watching him put things in his bag. She paused knowing that he would bring up moving in together.
"But you have to be in love with me before you move, huh?" he asked.
"Yeah." she smiled and frowned at the same time.
"So how am I doing?" he wondered zipping up a bag.
"I'd give you like a B...." she told him.
"A B? After all this? I slaved and I begged and I did everything...." he sighed dramatically.
"You're lame." she smiled leaning in to kiss him hearing his phone buzz. "Did you really cal la car already?"
"I have a meeting tonight..." he said. "In Vegas."
"In Vegas? What?" she asked wondering why he hadn't told her about any of this.
"It's just a thing. Just to sign papers and talk about everything for New Years...." he told her.
"What?" she answered a bit worried.
"Yeah. New Years in Vegas...it's kind of what I do..." he told her.
"Well then I guess we'll be celebrating New Years without each other because there's no way that I am not going to spend New Years in Times Square..."
"That's sad..because I'll be in Vegas." he said to her holding up his phone. "I have to go baby..."
"Whatever." Lola rolled her eyes following him out of the room watching him say good bye to er roommates.
"Shit...what happened?" Bianca asked as Lola and Bruno walked out the door.
"Please don't be mad..." he said touching her cheek looking deep into her eyes.
"Just call me when you land. I want to make sure you're safe." she answered pushing his hand away kissing him lightly on the cheek.
"Okay, Lo...." he said to her. Touching her hand. "Have a good afternoon." he said softly kissing her cheek. Lola sighed heavily watching the car drive away. She opened the door slowly walking back to where she was sitting before. "Damn."
"What happened?" Bianca asked.
"He's going to be in Vegas for New Years." she told them.
"What?" Lacie asked. "He's not going to be New York?"
"No." she answered frustrated.
"God, that's lame. When did you find that out?" Lacie wondered.
"Just fucking now. He's going to sign the contract right now." she answered.
"But hasn't he always gone to Vegas for New Years?" Madelyn wondered.
"You would know better than me..." Lola answered Madelyn.
"Well, I think he has. Since he started out...he's always been in Vegas. Hasn't he been there like 4 times since y'all started dating? Not even counting that weekend we went?" Madelyn asked.
"I don't know. I don't keep track of his schedule like that." she snapped.
"Okay. Wow. No need to be rude." Lacie answered.
"What do you have to say about this Bianca?" Madelyn wondered. "You're so quiet."
"I don't know." Bianca responded. "How did dinner go with your parents?"
"I'm not sure. I think my mom told me I should move to LA because she was able to move here from Argentina...but then I said I couldn't because I'm not in love with him...and I told him I wasn't in love with him."
"Woah...wait...you told him that?" Bianca asked shocked. "I don't even think I ever said that.."
"Wait what?" Lola asked confused. "I was just being honest."
"But serious?" Bianca wondered.
"But I said I was falling love with him. It's not like I won't ever love him..." Lola said. "He has like do more than just Bruno Mars..."
"Oh god. Can we like legit talk?" Bianca asked laying down her "I was almost married" knowledge on all of her roommates. About an hour later the friends had talked through the situation and had come to a conclusion. "So that's that...you go to Vegas...but only if he makes you swoon...like a lot."
"Yes. Like a lot." Lola laughed going into the kitchen to get something to eat. "Do y'all want some ice cream while you tell me who you hooked up with this weekend? Or do I get to eat it all?"
