"Where did your nurse go?" Lacie asked Lola walking into the apartment later in the evening.

"He went to the studio," she sighed throwing her head back on the couch. "Madilyn is here though. She's been taking care of me."

"That's good." Lacie sad walking over into the kitchen getting a glass of water. "How did you not drink any of this while you were with him?" she asked holding up an expensive bottle of wine.

"I can't drink while I'm sick." she told her friend.

"Lame sauce." Lacie said glancing at it.

"Go ahead and have some. I wasn't going to drink it until he came back anyway. Or if I had a crap day." Lola answered.

"When was he going to come up before you got sick?" Lacie asked.

"We hadn't talked about it." Lola said.

"Have you talked about much?" Lacie wondered.

"Umm..." Lola paused. "Not really."

"So like what's the deal? You really want to just up and move to Los Angeles? You want to move across the fucking country for someone who might be there what? Like 5 days in a whole year? Lola....you are nuts. I cannot even deal with you thinking this is okay."

"We've been together for a few months...I like him, he likes me, we want to be together..." Lola answered.

"You are fucking delusional, Delores." Lacie said frankly.

"Wow. Are you really going to get at me like that? When I'm sick?" she asked her friend.

"Yeah. I'm getting at you like that. Because you're nuts. What the hell do you want?" she asked her friend. "Like are you going to get married or are you going to play house until one of you gets mad at each other and obviously you move out because it's his house...like did you talk about what you get to do in his house? Do you get to decorate? Do you get to choose things? Or are you just going to be living in his house? You have to talk to him....if you agree on everything...." she paused. "Then he's playing you. Because there's no way you're going to agree...."

"God. I fucking get it." Lola groaned. "I'm going to take my medicine and go to sleep. He has my key so when he comes home he's just going to come in. I don't know where Madi or Bianca are."

"Yeah. Okay." Lacie said flopping down on the other couch.

"I'm sorry I got mad, Lace." Lola said closing her bedroom door.

"I'm sorry I got upset at you." Lacie said standing up to follow her friend to her bedroom laying in bed with her.

"How do we always end up together?" Lola asked laying her head on her best friend's shoulder.

"I don't know." Lacie said rubbing her friend's head. "You need to take a shower tomorrow, girl. Your hair is a mess."

"I know. I'm going to take the next two days off and then I'll take one." she said with a laugh. "Or tomorrow morning."

"Yeah. Alright. Whatever." Lacie said starting to talk to Lola about her decision to move to Los Angeles.

"I'll do the interview but yeah, you're right. We need to talk about it. It's not like I'm just spending the weekend over there..."

By the middle of the night Lola had sprawled out in the middle of her bed. She felt her body being pushed over a little. She opened her eyes slightly seeing a body fall on the side of the bed. "Sorry baby.."

"Bruno...." she said half awake.

"Yeah?" he answered.

"Why am I moving to Los Angeles?" she asked him.

"Because we like each other...." he said wrapping his arms around her.

"But serious..." she sat up flipping on her lamp near her dresser. "Like...are we just going to live together because that's what we want? Is it our house or am I moving into your house?"

"What do you want, Lo?" he asked her with a yawn.

"I think I want something definite. I want to know where we're going. Like this is fun...I like it. Maybe we should just keep it this way for right now?" she asked. "Because we don't know....or do I move there on my own? I can afford it...."

"It will be our house....and I want you to be there because I love you, Lola..." he said pushing her hair out of her face.

"I love you too...." she said. "But I just....I talked to Lacie again. I think we're moving too fast. I'm not ready for this. At least not right now."

"I want you to be with me, Delores. I miss you all the time when you're not with me...or within like an hour drive from me...or whatever....but I get it. I understand. We had the same conversation tonight. And I don't know the answer. I don't know what I want from us either..."

"Okay." she said reaching for the lamp. "I'm tired and I still feel achy. I'm ready to go back to sleep. I don't know if I'll remember this conversation...but remind me tomorrow I'm not moving to LA."

"I will, Lo. " he laughed lightly kissing her neck. "Good night, baby."
