Chapter three

I ran as fast i could with my vampire speed. I didn't know where I was running and where I was going, I just knew I was running form Kol. He wasn't out to kill me, he was training me and this was one of his training ideas. Before my brain could process it, I realised I was staring at the ground.

"Watch where you are going!" I heard someone yell.

I stood up to see Nicklaus. When he realised it was me, he looked at me in disgust. His friends was with him too.

"Look who it is! The desperate one! You know what every time I turn around, she is there which is quite funny really!" He shouted turning to his friends. They all began to laugh and I joined with them. Nicklaus stared at me.

"At least I can fend for myself unlike you who gets someone else to do it for them!" I laughed.

"And she can beat you in a fight most likely."Kol said appearing next to me. He looked at me and smiled and I smiled back.

"Oh really?" Nicklaus laughed at me.

I stared at him in disgust. Next thing I knew I had Nicklaus on the ground with a stake stabbing into his back. My vampire speed over whelmed me, Kol began to laugh as Nicklaus was shouting for me to stop. I stood up and threw the stake into some brushes. His friends by this time had walked leaving me, Kol and Nicklaus alone. Nicklaus stood up and stared at me and Kol.

"That's the most I have spoken to you in the past 100 years." I said.

"Well after what you said I thought I should leave you to suffer." He said.

I looked at Nicklaus before running off, I ran off to the corner of the forest where there was a little house. No one lives there so I go there I am upset or I just want to be alone. I walked through the door to see a girl. She looked up at me only to see it was Katrina. My jaw dropped and she stood up. She was crying, I gave her hug in response.

"Nicklaus killed my family!" She cried.

"When?" I asked shocked.

"About 50 years but I can't stop thinking about it and I end up crying." She said.

We pulled out of the hug and she wiped her eyes. She looked the same as always but her cheeks were rosy red anymore most likely because of her family's death. She headed for the door and stopped when she got to the door.

"Promise you won't tell I was here?" She asked.

"I promise I won't."I said.

"Your a good friend, you will see again I promise." She said before leaving.

The door closed and I fell into the corner, I sank down to the floor and I screamed. I close my eyes and stayed like for that for a bit. I heard the door close, I opened my eyes to see Kol. I stood up and looked at him.

"Don't let him get to you." He said.

"I'm not." I said walking towards the door.

"You can't hide for ever." He said following me.

"I'm not!" I shouted before running off at vampire speed back to Nicklaus's big house.

I arrived at the doors and went inside to see Nicklaus stood staring at me. I walked least walking towards the small room he put me in. He pulled me back and pushed me against the wall.

"Don't ever treat me like that again understand?" He sneered into my ear.

"I understand." I whispered.

"You better or it will be me who kills you." He whispered into my ear.

"Oh yeah, big threat we have here do we?" I muttered.

Nicklaus's put his hand into my chest. I gasped for air as I could no longer breathe, I screamed the best I could do. I felt his fingertips moved through my chest as he headed for my heart. I felt grabbed hold of my heart but at the last second before he ripped it out of me. He was on the floor, Elijah was on top of him and I was in Kol's arms. I caught my breath and my body began to repair it self. Kol picked me up and took me away from the situation happening and took me to his room. I closed my eyes trying as I felt my chest was whole again. The pain finally left me and I could relax. He placed me on the bed and left me alone.

I woke up and jolted up in bed straight away. I looked at sleeping Kol next to me which made me laugh a bit. I got up and headed out the door and to my room. I entered the room and looked at my surroundings. It was the smallest room in the house and had dull colours running through the room. I changed from the dress I wore last night. I put on a red one and I brushed my hair. I walked back into the hall and bumped into Nicklaus.

"I am sorry." He said quietly.

"Pardon?" I said.

"I am sorry!" He exclaimed.

"I am sorry too." I said.

"What for? I was one trying to rip your heart out last night." He said.

"What I said 100 years ago, it wasn't for that then that wouldn't of happened last night." I said.

"I am sorry for treating like I did afterwards." He said.

"It's ok." I Said.

He pulled me into a great big hug and be spun me around. We laughed and he finally put me down. He held out his hand and I took it. He lead me to the dinning room and we sat down where they was a a glass of blood placed out for everyone. He passed me mine and he picked his own. We drank it before heading outside.

"Jane." He said.

"Yes?" I asked.

"What would you do if I told I was in love with you?" He said. I felt my jaw drop.

"When...how...what?" I said struggling to get my words out.

"Since I met you, this is why I forgave you because I couldn't handle not talking to you. I want you to be mine. You have always been in my heart and I am deeply in love with you," He said, he took hold of my face and looked into my eyes,"but you won't remember this."

I opened my eyes to see him gone. How did I get outside? I shook my head and walked inside shaking it off. I went into Kol's room to wish him good morning but he was gone and in his place was Katrina.

"Hello." She said.

"Hello, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I want you to give Nicklaus a message from me." She said.

"What's the message?" I asked.

"Tell him, he made a big mistake using me and then Killing my family and he will pay the price." She said and she disappeared.

I stepped out of Kol's room and headed to Nicklaus's room. I knocked on the door and waited for him to answer. He opened the door and smiled at me.

"I have a message from Katrina, you made a big mistake using her and then Killing her family, you are going to pay the price." I said.
