Unstable lovers

Chapter Five

We caught up with Michael and Darren
in the corridor and before long we were in maths.

Luke sat next to me in the spare seat, and the teacher gave him an exercise book to write in.
Mr Campleman began teaching, and writing sums and equations down onto the board for us to copy. I lifted my pen to write the first one down, but as I was about to write, a hand grabbed hold of my wrist. Lukes hand!

"Erm, Lilly." He says shyly.
"Yeah?" I say, wondering what he was looking so nervous for.
"Well, erm, could you read the note I gave you please?" He asked, blushing slightly in the process.
"Oh yeah, sure thing." I say to him, taking the note out of my pocket and smiling at him.
I opened it up and I was blown away. Lukes beautiful handwriting covered the page, except the edges, they were beautifully decorated with pretty drawings of flowers and hearts that were elegantly shaded and they were coloured in with glittery pens. It looked amazing! They were really good, I started at them for a good ten seconds before I began to read:

'Hi Lilly,
Well I was too nervous to tell you this in person, but I really like you, and I was wondering if I could get to know you a little better? If you want to, you could come to my house with me after school or something. (My mum says I'm allowed to bring a friend home today if I make any ) it's ok if you say no.

I smiled idiotically at the note, feeling blessed that he had asked me and not the boys, and he said he likes me? I thought I was to boring for anyone to like, or for anyone to even want to get to know me. So many thoughts were spinning around in my head until my thoughts were broken off by the sound of Lukes voice.

"So?" He says, looking me in the eye nervously.
"Sure!" I say, a little too excitedly.
"I..I would love to Luke," I add, calmer this time.
"That's great!" He says smiling.

He loosened up after that, and looked less nervous.
For all the rest of the day his face was beaming with a smile, and he wouldn't stop talking to me. He came out of his shell and wasn't as shy in front of me anymore. He was really fun to hang around with and I couldn't wait to hang out with him after school.

The day passed by and when the bell rang for the end of the day Luke was stood behind me ready to leave before I had even began to pack my things away. He looked like he was going to burst with excitement. Like a child at Christmas. He couldn't stand still, he was smiling so big and you could tell he was excited.
When I had packed my things away Luke and I walked out of school, chatting about a band he likes, he wanted to know the bands I like that we hadn't already spoke of. So we spoke and spoke about as many different bands that came into our head.

We got into his posh car and he let me choose a song to play while we waited for Darren and Michael.
Finally, the boys got into the car and we drove off to drop them home. Michael knew I was going to Lukes house, and he said I was allowed. He was probably gonna tease me like crazy when I got home, but I didn't care. Darren just kept smiling at me, probably happy for me. Like he always is, he likes it when I make new friends. He says 'it makes him proud' which I think is pretty sweet.
We dropped the boys home and then drive off to Lukes house.
I suddenly began to feel really nervous. But I managed to take deep breaths and calm myself down before I panicked.
We reached Lukes house after about ten minutes of driving.
The front garden was huge and all poshly decorated. It had a statue of some sort in the middle of the lawn and the grass was neatly cut.

He opened the front door and let me in before following me inside. We took our shoes off at the door and then went to the kitchen.

I noticed a framed picture on the wall of what I guessed was Lukes family. There was a lady who I'm guessing is Lukes mum, a man who must be his dad, 2 other boys who all looked just like Luke only older , probably his brothers? And then Luke. I knew instantly which one was him because of the eyes.

He got us some food from the fridge and then we went upstairs.

Hey guys. So yeah, Luke likes Lilly too. Anyway. I hope your enjoying this as much as I'm enjoying writing it, and I will update again soon :-)
