I was woken by a loud crash and then a thud. And I woke up to see Luke on the floor, curled up in a ball and it looked like he was crying. The chest of draws had fallen down on top of him and he was just laying there shaking, crying and breathing heavily. He looked terrified.

I jumped up and ran across the room to help him.
"Oh my god Luke!! It's ok, I'm gonna help you,"
He didn't look at me, he just carried on shaking.
"It's ok," I say again stroking his hair.

I lift the draws up off him. They were quite big and really heavy, but I managed to get them back up again.
I wondered how he could have pulled something so heavy down on top of him. But I didn't want to ask incase I upset him even more than he already was.

Luke stayed on the floor shaking and he wouldn't move. I didn't know what to do.

"Luke?" I say. He didn't reply. He carried on
shaking and breathing heavily.

I sat him up and leant him against his closet. He opened his eyes and looked at me. He still didn't speak. He just looked back down again.

I noticed that he was holding his arm tightly and I was worried that he had hurt himself badly.

"Luke, breathe. It's ok..... It's ok. Talk  to me....please. " I say, still stroking his hair, trying to calm him.

After about 5 minutes he spoke.

"I'm sorry Lilly. It's ok. I'm good, go back to sleep." He says, not sounding very convincing and he was struggling to catch his breath.

"What happened. Why are you up at this time?"

He looked embarrassed and turned away.

"Luke. You can tell me,"

He looks at me and pauses for a moment before beginning to speak.

"Well. There's a reason I moved here, I'm not sure if I should tell you just yet. But it scares me so much. And I have really bad nightmares about it, and have trouble sleeping. I kinda go a little mad and start believing it's real. I was trying to run away. I don't know how I ended up pulling that thing down on top of me. But it wasn't real.... None of its real." He says gesturing to the draws. He then pauses again before continuing.
"None of it is real. But I'm still scared..... I'm so scared Lilly." He says, looking at me as another tear runs down his cheek.

"Aww Luke. Is there anything I can do to help?" I say as I use my hand to wipe the tear away from his face.

"I...I don't know. If my Mamma hears me she sometimes comes in and lays with me and she sings to me to get me to sleep again. But most of the time I just end up having a shitty nights sleep." He says.
"I miss my Mamma." He adds.

Mamma. Aww. That's adorable!! He calls his mum mamma.

"I can't sing. But I could lay with you if it will help. But first we need to check your arm. It looks like you hurt it quite bad." I tell him.

He looks nervously at his arm which he was still holding.

"I'm sure it's all good." He says.

"It's not Luke,"

"I'll be ok,"

"Luke!"

I knew it wasn't alright. Why was he being so stubborn about it? And why is he trying to hide his arm from me?

He gives in to me and I look at his arm carefully. I carefully roll up his sleeve, which was blood covered. The force of the draws falling on him had pierced Into his skin - leaving a huge mark going down his arm from where it landed. There wasn't a lot of blood, but he was bleeding and it looked awful.
