"The difference between most sports and Marching Band. If someone sheds blood or gets hurt, they're usually taken out of the game. In band, you're expected to keep on marching throughout the entire show, whether you broke your nose with a flag or fell over and broke your ankle. You can't just simply limp to the sideline. And if that isn't the realest thing you've heard, you obviously have no idea how much we go through. Perfecting, running through the SAME thing over and over until every single person gets it right (which isn't easy in a 70+ person band), practice days right after another that can easily go overtime and then having to do all of your homework at 1 am, and then having to do all of that the next day. I understand, sports are hard but we are put through expectations that no one else has to go through let alone recognizes."
