I just found out that a very caring English teacher at my school passed away in her sleep last night. Her name was Mrs. Betzsold. I am bringing this topic up because she was one of my high school band's best supporters. We'd see her at every game, cheering us on, in the seats, watching us perform on the stage, and she even had pictures of the band up on the walls of her class. We have lost one of our supporters, and her death was unfortunate.
I recall waiting outside her classroom, waiting for class to begin, but she never came. Minutes passed and the class started to get concerned. We were aware that she had kidney failure, but her death caught us by surprise. Her desk was cleared off, and the pictures she had on her desk and wall were gone. All that was left was her name tag.
Mrs. Betzsold was a member of our drill team many years back, and she loves us. She loved her students as well, but there are some of her students that I am familiar with that are rude to her. My friend now feels guilty and awful about her death, because the last thing she said about her was "She's so annoying."
My point is, please appreciate the people you have in your life. Especially those who'd do anything to support you. You never know when you'll last see that person, so make the best of it. I pray for her family as they go through this difficult time, but please, appreciate one another.
