So in my English class, we were having a discussion about equality, and the number of people who talked about the marching band makes me so happy... Someone said "Another way to improve equality at AHS is by promoting our marching band. They come in the mornings for zero period and stay after school to get everything right. They put in their blood sweat and tears to perform for the crowd. Our school has one of the best marching bands in the district and yet we still don't promote the events that they do, and we disrespect them so much, like walking through them when they are marching out to the field, and just the fact that people from other schools throw things at them while they are performing is just wrong. We can encourage our band to keep doing what they do, maybe praise them for their hard work on the announcements, we should just thank our marching band for all they have done for our school's enjoyment. By promoting the events that they do and hyping up the student body to go out and support, we can be one step closer to improving our students being treated equally." and honestly it made my day to know someone who isn't in band actually appreciates us like thank you so much friend.
