What have I missed?

Chapter 18: A night to remember

It certainly was a night to remember. Just as I had hoped. But what happened was not what I had expected. 

~Flashback~

"And who is the sort of person you want to be dating?" I asked casually trying to hide my happiness about my crush being single.

"You" 

"What?" I asked not sure if I had heard him correctly.

"You. I want to date you. Even when I was dating Alice, I still wanted to be dating you. And when Alice said about you being in love with me, I was secretely praying that it was true. Ashleigh, will you be my girlfriend?" 

A million thoughts rushed through my head, my body had been taken over by a wave of emotion. All I wanted to do was say yes, but i was struggling to get my words out, I was so shocked. 

"Yes, of course I will Lou!!" 

From then on, the night went perfectly, I didn't even care that Katherine and some others were evil-eyeing me the entire night. All I cared about was Louis. 

When we were exhausted from dancing the entire night, Louis walked me home. 

"Wow" Louis said staring into my eyes.

"What?" I questioned

"You're just so beautiful, I can't believe how lucky I am!" Louis said, and then he kissed me goodnight. It was perfect. It felt right. I felt the fireworks and everything. Then he stared at me one more time, and left. I went in my house, ignored my mother's complains about how late I was. And had a peaceful night sleep. Something I hadn't had in so long.
