What have I missed?

Chapter 7: Alice

I sat on my bed, thinking. Debating whether I should call Alice. I needed to hear her side so I decided I would call her. The phone rang for 2 rings before an excited Alice screamed down the phone. 

"ASHLEIGH! NO WAY! IS THIS REALLY YOU???"  

I distanced the phone from my ear so I wouldn't go deaf from her screaming.  

"Hi, er yeh it's me!" 

"omg omg omg, I need to see you, i'm coming over"  

"ok, see you in a bit"

When she finally arrived she hugged me so tight I lost my balance and toppled over.  

"I can't believe you're awake!" 

"Yeh, me neither, so I hear you have some news for me, concerning a certain Louis horan" I tried to keep the anger and jealousy out of my voice but I'm not sure if I was successful.  

"Oh, yeh, haha it's funny how things work out" I could tell she felt awkward.  

"So...how did it happen?"  

"Uh, well, me and Sophie were walking to the lunch hall and I bumped into him, he said he'd like a word so I invited him over to sit with us. He was mainly asking how you were, news got round the school you know, everyone knows about you, you're like a celebrity!" 

Did I just hear that right? I cannot believe Louis wanted to talk about me! I didn't think he even knew my name! 

"And after a while me and Louis started hanging out more, he's really nice! And we got so close that we decided to label ourselves as girlfriend and boyfriend!"  

"Oh". It crushed me to think that they were dating because of me, I brought them together, It's all my fault! 

"Look Ash, I know you like Louis but you were in a coma and I thought you would never wake up!"  

For some reason I took this news badly and decided I didn't want Alice in my house anymore.  

"You should leave"  

"It's not like he would have asked you out if you weren't in a coma, he doesn't like you like he likes me, otherwise he would've asked you out before, I'm obviously better suited to him so don't be so jealous!"  

I stormed out the house, not caring that Alice was still there. I can't believe she just said all that! Finally showing her true colours I see! I don't care I don't need her!
