Sam's point of view-
I saw Ashleigh walk out of her last lesson, carrying heavy looking books in her arms and her face representing tiredness. I ran to catch up with her pushing some younger students out the way so I wouldn't get stuck behind them. It's like they purposely walk slow when you're in a hurry! I combed my fingers through my hair when I got to Ashleigh.
"You look like you need some help carrying them" I told her and smiled at her, receiving a smile in return.
"Yes please" Then you she transferred her books to my arms. "Thankyou"
"No problem, so you busy tonight?" I saw Ashleigh think about it a few minutes before replying.
"Nope. Don't think so, want to hang out?"
"If you like" We walked to my car together, I dumped Ashleigh's school bag and books in the boot of my car and walked round to open Ashleigh's door like the gentleman I am. The conversation wasn't really going anywhere, so I decided i'd tell her what I needed to get off my chest.
"So Ash, about the other night-"
"It was fun" She interrupted me and winked.
"Yeh, um, but I wanted you to know, that I um, love spending time with you. And I kind of um want you to be my girlfriend" I got progressively quieter as I spoke and had to look away to hide the blush that had formed on my face.
"What?" She looked confused, I don't think she heard.
"I'd hate to ruin our friendship by saying this but...did you want to be my girlfriend?"
Comprehension took over her face and I could tell she was considering it. She stared out the front window of the car seeming to be thinking things through.
"No, I can't" The smile escaped my face and was replaced by a dissappointed expression. I noticed Ashleigh fiddling with the zip of her jacket and biting her lip.
"I'm sorry. but I can't ruin our friendship, I enjoy being your friend too much to ruin that." Had I just been friendzoned? I guess she didn't like me in that way.
Ashleigh's point of view-
I wanted to say yes. I really did. But it would totally destroy Louis if he found out I was dating Sam, and I still don't know which of them I prefer, so I have to keep them as my friends while I sort this out. I can't lose them.
When we got to sam's we played fifa for a bit because I enjoy playing xbox, we also played call of duty, but it was awkward between us after that conversation so I left earlier than i normally would have. I hope I haven't hurt his feelings.
I walked home to give me a chance to clear my thoughts. But as I grew nearer to my house, I noticed Eva at the shops.
"Hey Eva, how are things?"
"Good. Well, better. I'm glad you're here, I need to ask you something!"
"What?"
"Will you be my baby's godmother?" I felt so honoured to be asked that. All of my problems left my head and were replaced by happiness and excitement.
"Of course I will!" I replied quickly.
"I knew you'd say yes" She smiled then wrapped me in a tight hug. I can't believe i'm going to be a godparent!
~The next day~
Louis' point of view-
I watched Ashleigh and Sam leave together. Envy surrounded me. What if they're secretly dating? Maybe I should just get over Ashleigh and date someone else to take my mind off her. Yeh, I might just do that!
