Jaime POV:
I wandered down the street, looking for anywhere that sold food. Mike and Tony had a mad night out and were both dying from hangovers and in desperate need for food. I offered to go, Vic and I spent the night in last night and I wanted to see even a little bit of the city we were in before we had to leave tomorrow. It was a quaint little town, it looked so perfect it could have been straight out of a TV series. I had been walking for about fifteen minutes until I found a cafe, I walked in and waited in a queue, ready to make my order.
My head wasn't really there, a lot had went on these past two weeks had been mad and tonight would be our last show of this tour. I hadn't really had time to think it through in my head, Vic and I getting together, the "Anti Fuenciado" page and in a couple of days, we'd have to tell our families. This was my first bit of real time on my own and I hadn't realized just how much I needed it until now.
"Jaime?" A voice said behind me.
I spun around. In front of me, with a huge grin, stood my ex-girlfriend, Jade. My stomach churned and I found it hard to form a sentence, smooth.
"Jade, hi" I managed to splutter out.
It was weird seeing her again, she looked different. Longer, darker hair, but her eyes were exactly how I remembered them. When we broke up, I thought I would never get over her. It took me a while to get over her, it was a hard break up. Neither of us wanted it to end, yet we knew it wasn't working anymore and that it had too - I was wondered if she had picked up on the fact that I was beginning to fall for Vic. I always used to say she was the one who got away.
"What're you doing here?" She grinned.
"On tour, with the band" I smiled back.
"Oh yeah, I heard about how well you guys were doing, congratulations" She answered.
"Thanks, so what about you? Are you living here now?" I asked.
"Yeah I am, I got offered a job and I took it" She replied.
After a few minutes of small talk, it occured to me that I needed to get this food back to the bus. Yet I wanted to talk to her longer, I had missed her.
"So are you here for long? Maybe we could hang out at some point" She offered.
"We only have today and tomorrow, then we're back to San Diego" I told her.
"Well how about coffee tomorrow?" She asked.
My head told me no, but my mouth said yes. So there I was, nodding and telling her I would meet her back here at 12pm tomorrow. As I left the cafe I face palmed with my free hand.
"Stupid" I muttered to myself under my breath.
What would Vic think of this?
