Sidney finishes his current chores and steps back, admiring the clean floor. He wipes his head and spins to see Evgeni Malkin leaning against the frame of the doorway. He is tired after a day spent fretting about his queen. His mistresses' anger is getting worse and he is worried about how it is starting to affect her.

"Oh, hey Geno."

"Hey Sidney, ready for some fun," Evgeni smiles at him.

"Yeah, I'm ready, I think we're good to go," Sidney smiles back, aware that his heart is starting to beat away as he looks into Evgeni's chocolate eyes.

Evgeni laughs, "Looks fabulous. Let's go."

"Okay." Sidney tries to remain as calm as he can. "Where should we go?"

"Well-" Evgeni hesitates, surprised.

"Not that I think you know, but..." Sidney stammers, aware that his face is changing color as he speaks. What must he think of me? The handsmaiden for the Queen wonders to himself. If only he can remain calm in front of him, but as ever his heart and his words race ahead, leaving him feeling embarrassed.

"Sid, it's okay. Lets just walk around outside a little bit, maybe we can go into the kingdom and have a little wine or something. How about that?" Evgeni suggests with a grin.

"Alright."

Before long they are walking through the lower town towards a pub. Sidney still can't quite believe they are actually doing anything. They enter the place and sit down.

"Sit down, Sidney," Evgeni says, inviting him to sit on a chair by the table, politely.

Eventually a medieval waitress comes by. "What would you like to eat?"

"Oh nothing, I'm not really hungry more thirsty," the chief remarks, having a good look around.

"Same here," Sidney says.

Before long two decent amounts of wine in two beer glasses are brought to their table. Sidney actually has very little experience of drinking wine and its possible effects. He briefly remembers his father's warnings about drinking wine on an empty stomach, but before long he and Evgeni are well into the drinks, laughing away.

More drinks are brought to the table and the glasses are quickly downed. Sidney has never noticed anything go down as quickly as this is. Already over four glasses have been consumed. The more they drink, the merrier they become. Suddenly the slightest thing that either of them say causes enormous amusement for them.

Sidney also notices that at times Evgeni is looking very hazy as he looks at him. By the time Evgeni downs a fifth and final glass, Sidney feels as if the room is swinging around them. He hardly dares to move.

"I think I could do with some water!" Sidney blubbers, attempting to put one foot on the floor.

"No, no I will do that," Evgeni says gallantly.

He rushes up from the table the next thing Sidney can hear is a gasp as Evgeni falls over. Sidney slowly lifts his head up off the table to see Evgeni leaning on his hands on the floor his bottom sticking up in the air.

Sidney can't help himself but burst out laughing at the sight of him. He carefully gets up from the table, turns around intending to help him up. But suddenly he finds himself in a heap next to him. They giggle at each other as they struggle to get up. Evgeni manages to heave himself back up onto the chair, sitting down with a huge bang, as his arms fell onto the table.

"I'll pull you up," Evgeni chuckles, leaning over to Sidney. He manages to eventually pull him up and he laughs as he eases onto the chair.

They sit there, unsure what to do but let the alcohol run through them and get their bearings back. Then they leave the pub and head back to the castle, still chuckling and slightly buzzed. They enter the castle and hurry up the steps and into the kitchen.

Evgeni has a tight hold on Sidney's hand. They sit down in the kitchen on a bench. Sidney spins to Evgeni, struggling to control his laughter. He manages to though and says, "I had tons of fun Geno."

"Me too, Sid."

"You're such a great friend. I like hanging out with you."

"And I, you."
